That is right... it is very logical.... but there is a big problem, like I said before, it seldom works.... In my humble experience I've always seen Transits to be more effective than dasas....(and I mean that specifically for the purpose of marriage, i do give the dasas a lot of importance otherwis...

I don't want to deviate from the topic at hand here... but since we have brought some attention to this very important topic here, I must bring this to your notice again. I've been for a while now trying to learn the intricacies of Rectification of Time of Birth, for which there may be more than one...

Dear CD, I completely agree with you, all the sixteen vedangs can be best learnt only in a Guru-Shishya tradition, astrology and music being the most respected of them. However, finding a good Guru is also a near impossible task, especially for we folks who live in cities. Needless to say, the authe...

Thats absolutely right mate... I would just like to add one thing though... traditionally speaking a reading was meant to be a dialogue between the astrologer and the querist wherein an astrologer got more of a chance to practice and improve his intuition... Having said that, I believe we guys depen...

I once read in a book by Sh. KN Rao that no matter how accurate we are with the time of birth we are always dealing with an "approximate " Vimsottari dasa. For one, the discussion about the correct time of birth, i.e. first breath, cutting of the cord, etc, will never finish,  and then again, h...

it should be interesting to see the distance between Sun and Mer in those cases... Since you seem to have a database of charts of children with Hyperactivity, try to see the pattern of distance between Sun and Mer and also "very importantly" make a note if Mer is ahead or behind Sun... Secondly, see...

Right, heres my two cents... First the Promise in the natal chart.... 7H from the lagna is occupied by a strong Mars (despositor Ven in Mars's exaltation sign and Vargottama in Navamsa) with no other major influence... 7L from the lagna, Venus is Vargottama aspected by a very benefic Moon (9L) but n...

Sat opposition Jup : Mundane Astrology

Dear Chandubai, I am not sure abt the differences between Jupiter's two transits on nativities but what comes to my mind immediately is the fact that the respective positions of other planets will not be the same, i.e. one of the very adverse situations nearing up on the celestial scene is that of s...
