I do, & it probably really isn't a good idea, but (trying desperately to justify this here) I only have two rooms in my apartment, including the bedroom, living room/kitchenette. I don't ever use the living room/kitchenette unless my children are over for the weekend, then they sleep in there, but I...

Re: Finally made it to this thread
To dismiss the value of the anient Egpytion alhabet and it’s properties concerning relegious value for “Runes” only, does not make one an elitist pig, but rather a closed minded fundamentalist. Academicly sourced enuff for ya? I don't remember anyone disparaging "the anient Egpytion alhabet"[ sic ]...

Yes, I probably misspoke when I suggested Thorsson; I just know how most people are about reading something that isn't fluffy (guess I shouldn't use that to gauge things though, that's a mistake). Earl is absolutely correct though (from the posts that I've read, you should listen to what Earl has to...

Yes, Mealdrew & Amergin were Celtic, & from two different branches as well. Mealdrew was from the Brythonic branch, while Amergin was from the Goidelic branch. Different system altogether from the Germanic, a semi-modern invention/reinterpretation, I would venture a guess. Kind of strays from the su...

Funny, I was going to rephrase after I realized my apparent error in my request as stated, & say academic sources, but I sometimes get the words "elitist pig" screamed at me from across the room, so I was going to leave it alone. It seemed to stray far enough from the subject of runes that it wasn't...

The Egyptions did have something similar to Runes. They had images carved upon small scraps from the slag piles. Similar to runes. You can find them occassionaly in shops. They are called The Eye of Horus stones. They are egyption images however, not an alphabet per se. I have a set kicking around ...

The answer really depends on how much you know about computers I guess. Hopefully these make sense. Tackback - allows a blogger to see who has seen the original post and has written another entry concerning it. The system works by sending a 'ping' between the blogs, and therefore providing the alert...

At the end of your lives as fruits vegetables and other dominant species, maybe you will realise that not fully understanding our role as a seemingly intelligent life form just sent you in circles? I'm having difficulty with your grammar. I don't necessarily believe in reincarnation (If that's what ...

When we get to a certain animate spiritual evolution we have to do something pretty drastic to reverse this. How do we know the point at which this needs to be done? What, exactly, has to be done, & what are we trying to remedy? Sure trees have spirit, and brocili has life, but not in the same way as...

I respectfully enjoy a delicious piece of meat
Life feeds on life. One must consume life in order to remain among the living. I suppose we could be eating relatives, but how do we know that our ancestor isn't a tree. I, personally, would gladly give my life so that my descendants might live another day (but I was raised to think that the family ...

Ooops sorry its a slang uni term for the first cursive hieroglyphs, its very like the hieratic, found in a few tombs and papyri. Interesting, is it like the cursive in the Papyrus of Ani? I'd like to learn more about that; what do you suggest? i agree with gem, runic letter have been around during ...

If man is given ABSOLUTE power, will he lean towards evil? "absolute power" How do you define absolute? I think what you mean to say is "a tremendous amount of power". Or am I mistaken? Do you think Nelson Mandela is evil? I think the existence of him should answer the question. If, on the other ha...

Actually, I'm quite familiar with the "Stanford Prison Experiment". They're an awesome band! Seriously though. To say that Ghandi & Mother Teresa did not have power is to completely miss the definition of power (power as we're discussing here is defined by Webster's as possesion of control, authorit...
