I think affinity is the most important to choose a symbol.

My vision about it is that a symbol can be used to focuse the forces you already have, not exactly to make these forces stronger.

I think it's a matter of syntony and focus of thoughs, affecting your individual unconcious. I think that may have a link of the individual unconcious with the collective unconcious(that have some influence in reality). But that's a theory. I agree. People nowadays have really a distorted view on the word ''ritual''. I think it's just a matter of concentration, a focusing for our energy. Everyone is surrounded by rituals and ritualistic objects. A necktie, we can take as an example, is nothing but a ritualistic cloth for the corporativ...
