The paths you describe do not seek God so much as seek to be God.  There is a higher power that imbues us all with potential and possibilities.  How we handle this power is a measure of God's presence in our lives.

When God is human, he loses his status of eternal, central source of all light and love, for the sake of a human body.  What a waste of time!  All lessons we learn as human beings are to grow to that source and yet, we want to accept a human God?  No thanks!

And spirit flows through all creation.  All creators imbue their creation with a piece of the creator.  Creativity in human existence mirrors this talent from the central source.  It is not the same in creation, but it is a copy of the creator's spark or spirit.

If the spirit is God, why would He need human form?  Any worship of a human God is worshiping humanity, rather than a higher source or power.
