If a million people are incorrect, do they suddenly become correct? Here is a short quote from wiki on totems, if you don't want to take my word on it: Totemism (derived from the root -oode- in the Ojibwe language, which referred to something kinship-related, c.f. odoodem, "his totem") is a religiou...

The butterfly symbolizes new life in general, metamorphosis, moving to a higher stage in particular. "That which once crawled, now flies," as my wife puts it.

She uses a butterfly symbol as her moniker, and I have it tattooed on my arm.

Could we get clear on this "totem" thing?  A lot of well-meaning but ignorant white folks seem to have muddied the waters, starting possibly with Jamie Sands . If you are a Native, and the clan you belong to uses an animal to symbolize that clan, that animal is your totem.  You belong to the Bear Cl...

Yep, I'm with the above--quartz does amplify but it can't amplfy what isn't there--such as malign intent.

Now if your wand was tipped with plutonium, it would probably be carcinogenic. . . . .

Verily is it written "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and all else will be added unto thee."  In other words, concern yourself with the spiritual and the material will take care of itself. The universe is benign, and your survival is assured.  When you attain a degree of unity conscio...

I think that many people would contend with that "flawed gem" thing.  All stones are manifestations of God and as such are to be cherished.

Isn't it lucky for us that gems do not spurn flawed people?

You should be very careful what you wish for--sometimes you get it. Do you mean a true karmic soulmate?  These relationships tend to be stormy, challenging, as both parties enter into it with a lot of karmic baggage. If you mean a soulmate as in some sort of idealized, pink-cloud,  stress-...

Going by the pic, I'd associate it with the throat chakra, which would explain the "articulate."

The weakness sounds like soul loss--I'd advise getting a copy of Soul Loss and Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman, read it and see what resonates with you.

I'm just a simple country witch doctor, and I don't worry about which finger goes for what, as long as the ring fits. I just go by the projective/attractive dichotomy.  If I want to attract a certain quality, I wear the ring on my left hand; if I wish to project a certain quality, I wear the ri...

In the highest reality, there is no good or bad--these being labels we attach to things.

There is no "wrong" spiritual path--God is a rather large target and hard to miss--but some paths ARE  less arduous than others.

The anti-hell atheists have some good company.

In a private audience at the Vatican in 1999, Pope John Paul II pointed out that hell is neither  a location nor divine retribution or punishment , but a state of mind created when one consciously chooses to cut oneself off from God.

If I had to limit it to one, I would nominate Power. Freedom and Grace by Deepak Chopra.

It is the clearest, most concise, coherant, profound and personally inspiring metaphysical book that I have read in the last forty years.

"Expect"?  One's highest purpose is never realized by having expectations of anyone or anything--this only sets one up for disappointment, resentment. That said, in my experience, the flashiest manifestations--visions, overt miracles,  and so forth--came years ago, when I was an apprentice...
