OK, Let's start with the basics here. What is Astrolomy?

It was my intent with this post to bring some insite into how to use the Moon in the interpretation of a chart. It seems to me that the reply by "Evard" borders on B.S.

Greeting

It has been several years since I have posted on this site so I thought perhaps I should take a few moments and reintroduce myself. I have been a student of astrology for almost 40 years and have been teaching on and off for some 30 years. Astrology is a personal passion. My interest in mainly confi...

Some Thoughts On The Moon

The Moon is, without a doubt, the second most important factor in any chart. In some charts it may well be the most important. The Moon is certainly the most dynamic factor in the chart. Where the Sun passes through about one degree of the zodiac each day, the Moon passes through about 12 degrees. T...

Retrogrades In Perspective

I have been reading some of the posts here with questions on the nature of “Retrograde Motion” and I thought I would share a few thoughts on the subject. It has become popular in the last 50 years to ascribe all kinds of malevolent attributes to planets in retrograde. The worst offender if this is m...

Greetings: One of the primary reasons that house systems break down above arctic circle is because of the range of view. The higher (and Lower) you climb in latitude, the farther you can see around the curve of the earth. combine this with the 23 1/2 degree tilt of the earth's axis and you get some ...

Venus in the Signs

Greetings: I have seen many of Vedic interpretations and thought some you you might like the Western astrology interpretations as well so here you go. Venus in Aries Natives with Venus in Aries are both passionate and aggressive in how they express their emotions in their relationships. They tend to...

Greetings: The mechanics of astrology have long been a personal obsession of mine. If astrology truely works it must obey the physical laws of the universe. If it obeys physical laws, there must be a way to test any "Astrology Effect". There are distinct differences between Vedic and Western astrolo...

Greetings: I have a long habit of doing a solar return and progression each year around my birthday. Some years back I came across this technique of Tertiary Progressions. I tried it out both for my own chart and a couple dozen other charts I follow regularly and found little value to it. I still co...

Greetings Swetha:

I have seen several different techniques applied to the practice of Horary Astrology. From my own experience those astrologers who use it in conjunction with Natal Astrology as well as making use of the available transits, are to most accurate.

Greetings Swetha: I was courious where you came by these "Egyptian Signs". Since the zodiac we use is Egyptian in origin ( See my post Origin of the Signs http://www.MysticBoard.com/viewtopic.php?t=1473 ) and some 5000 years old, it would seem to me these "New" Egyptian Signs are a bit questionable....

Greetings Virinchi: While I appreaciate the posts on such subjects as Mangal Dosha and Kuja Dosha, it might help those of us who practice western style astrology if you took the time in explaining the concepts of each. These may well be common concepts in Vedic but they simply go over the heads of m...

On Different Schools Of Thought

Greetings: Within astrology, as with most disiplines, there are many schools of thought and differening opinions. In another thread on this board someone got offended at my expression of one of these different points of view. I have been preparing a couple new threads in an effort to get people to t...
