as i understand each zodiac has five types..which is wood rat, fire rat ,earth rat, metal rat, water rat....
and wood rat normally represent the hidden qualities like can be moulded,providing(or giving) always brings luck, green color is the lucky color...

one more suggestion for the jade as well, ancient chinese also believe that it will bring longivity and wealth....That's why most ladies in ancient china like jade in bangle, earings and man like to wear jade ring... i try to wear it for sometimes..it really bring luck....may be u guys can try it ou...

another solution is putting 2 elephants with their nose poiting upwards to dismiss the bad energy coz by beam...

i do agree with u, most i-ching book are very ole fashion like an "ancient chinese secret" type. coz not easy to interprete it in modern way...unless that author had gone through many proses of life.....

I-Ching analysis actually used in ancient china to predict and forecast many aspects of one person life. is more to prophesize events that happen soon.

if u do hv a birth time then can generate the ZiWei chart will be more accurate....u want to give it a try?

if according to chinese astrology normally is check upon four pillars and Zi wei Dou Shu, both also will hv the same output result but timing sometimes may vary... ZiWei will compare the couples birth chart , see whether thier energy is against each others or the other way round..sometimes the energ...

as i mm study thru the both chinese & western astrology, i did find some similiriaty like:
Chinese Zi Wei Dou Shu having output like Western Star Birth Chart
Chinese Bazi having output like Numerology
The I Ching = tarot.
i tried both the method and they hv almost the same answer.....
