The phrase "pay it forward" also seems applicable.  I've been helped through bad times by kind people.  This debt compels me to help others through bad times.  Some of those I help go on to be generous with others (or to help me when I have a problem) while others go on being selfish ...

A psychologist told me that one test for whether or not to listen to the voices is whether they give good advice...and it sounds like your voices are not friendly at all.  If you hear a divine voice telling you to be true to yourself or split up with someone who's treating you bad, go with it. ...

Grandpa gave some really great advice, as did the others above.  I'll add this: I've been in a space where I felt so bad that I called myself "broken."  The long-term depression, the monstrous nightmares you describe...IMO while you can benefit from the good advice above you also need stro...

oooh, I know how that feels.  But since I know I'm the kind of scatterbrain who will sometimes lock keys in the car or in my house, I always keep spares around.  There is safety in redundancy.  Hope things go better for you the rest of the week!

Dear Running Free:  I've been there and done that REPEATEDLY.  After my first marriage I thought I'd never trust a man again, but I did.  Even after several more heartbreaks I still could find love and feel safe with someone. One thing I learned was that sometimes when I chose a lover...

I'm thinking that my experiment was a success:  Darjeeling tea really does taste nice with a dash of ginger infusion!  Very healthy too, what with the phytochemicals in the tea and the healing properties of ginger.  I make the ginger infusion by thinly slicing ginger root and boiling ...

I'd say that if we can't remember the future it's because doing so would be bad for us, might diminish life's mysteries or make us less able to evolve naturally.

Anybody remember using math & ephemeride books?

Hi all!  I'm 53, mother of a grown daughter, and as you might guess I love cats.  Also dogs, horses, bunnies, goats...you get the idea.  I've been into astrology since I was a kid.  Does anybody else remember what a NIGHTMARE it was to calculate a natal chart back in the Dark Age...

The joke about offering camels for a wife reminded me of the time my grandparents vacationed in Branson Missouri.  Grandpa was sitting outside some cute folksy shop that had captured my grandmother's attention.  While he waited, he was whittling a few acorns into tiny baskets.  A woma...
