Roses want very specific growing environments. Lots of  Sun. 8 hours a day at least. But...they don't do well in really hot zones. (planting zones 9 and 10 are the hottest) They actually get sunburn. So there is the tricky part. Gotta figure out how to get them lots of sun without burning them....
