Let me add my two pence regarding navamsa,vargottma, swa and mookatrikona(hope Viveji/Rahulji will pardon the intrusion/correct my mistake): navamsa chart is formed by dividing each rashi in lagna chart by 9 and then assigning the grahas to various houses in the navamsa chart based on this division....

Shri PVR Narasimha Rao opines that there are only indirect references to bhav chalit  in BPHS and that Sage Parasara has made direct references to treating rashis as houses.  Has any of the more learned members here tried predictions with and without bhava chalit as part of their researches?
