I'm reading "Mason & Dixon" by Thomas Pynchon. It's a great read so far. I always love Pynchon's command of both style an content: he has a unique voice (that some people find difficult to get into) and the most amazing, encyclopaedic imagination.

LOL, I thought of a yellow hammer, does that make me only partially abnormal?....;)

I think caithiggs makes some excellent points. I, too, felt that saying hammer was a bit of a cop out, since it was the most obvious tool, in my mind.
