The stars impel (influence), they do not compel (force). No matter how bad your chart looks, you have a choice, and can overcome.  The chart can tell you what is the easiest way for you to be - but you can choose to work harder and overcome your chart.   Remember, when you have been depres...

Genetically, we're selected to be negative when in a hostile environment.  The caveman who pessimistically  saw a tiger behind every bush tended to live longer than the one who gathered flowers and gazed on the beauty of the clouds when walking. Add to this that from a gene's point of view...

The question is either not based in reality, or is hyperbole.  How many men were experienced for the questioner to just to "all" men.  I guarantee that not all men were included, which makes this a statistical forecast.  So, immediately, it is broken into, "all the men questioner has ...

When I meditate, I prefer following the Hatha Yoga techniques of "mindful meditation".  The goal is to be centered and connected internally to all parts of the mind, accepting non-critically whatever comes to mind.  Instead of stopping thought, it reveals it's many parts and levels an allo...

Just my opinion on the subject, but I'd say that you have first to decide what religion means to you.   I've studied many philosophies and religions trying to find a truth.  In nearly all of them I found something that are recognized by the majority of humans as "truth", bits and pieces of...

I agree with many of the writers who spoke of free will and choice, but would have to frame it in a different context.  I don't accept the foundational premise of a knowable destiny, so to answer the question would be hypocritical of me in that respect.

Any divination technique will only show tendencies, not absolutes.  As the saying goes, "the stars influence, they don't compel".  That will be true of any source.  The cynical say it is so the soothsayer has a way out if it doesn't turn out as they said, the believers say that it is ...

A paperback book averages me 2 to 4 hours depending on the length.  For some reason, a hardback will take me a few days.  Reading from a computer screen for pleasure tends to give me a headache, so I avoid it for anything very long.

Greetings, y'all

Hello and howdy, Not particularly mystical in my outlook which seems unusual reading through the threads. I've studied hypnotism and it's uses since I was an early child; my father used it in his dental practice.  I've been a hypnotist since my teens, off and on. I've studied NLP and linguistic...
