Re: Returning member with a request for vedic astrology remedy

I sincerely thank samsoul7 and RR for taking your time in replying to my query on Pitr Dosh. It is a well-thought-out message you bring forth, RR, yes, helping people in old age homes would certainly help with this dosha. But living 30000 miles away from my homeland, where, the elderly take to assis...

Returning member with a request for vedic astrology remedy

Hi all, How are Sh. Rohini Ranjan, EoT and others in this great forum? I want to return to this forum and see it is very quiet. May be we can all chat now and then... I have a request.... it turns out I have neecha Sun in 9th house (placed in Swathi, a Rahu nakshatra) in my natal chart. As such, thi...

Re: "Old is gold"

I write poems because I need appreciation and also because, the poetic fun makes me enthusiastic. Not really written in order to express anything profound or meant to be a lesson, through this medium. An essay would convey that notion better. In poem, there is necessity for brevity and necessity for...

Re: "Old is gold"

I just wrote this for poetic fun. Personally I don't take to the view that someone should not strive to look young and youthful in their midlife. In my opinion, they should all (me too) look younger, but dress appropriate for age.

Re: "Old is gold"

Hello Brian, That's precisely the message I am conveying in my poem too. That is, it is my husband who is asking me the question, "Looking old, why don't you become newer going to gym and parlor?". I am telling him, "haven't you seen the old rows of pillars standing unadorned in temples, don't you a...

"Old is gold"

Time

Lifetime and clock, Aren't they both like a fl...

Re: WELCOME TO THE NEW MYSTIC BOARD

Hurray!!! MB board looks very cool....! I'm quite busy doing a Computer Science course that I did not visit this page often. Then I noticed it was down for sometime. 2 days ago I checked and saw it had moved to this page and today, spotted this thread. Looks very nice. I will continue posting here a...

Re: Lagna in Mrityu Bhaga

What does it mean when Lagna is in Mrityu Bhaga? Some folks claim that certain degrees in a segment are fruitless, null and drain a planet placed on such a degree to exert a good influence, irrespective of its other beneficial strengths. Others disagree about which degrees these should be. Hi Anxio...

Re: Karma / re-incarnation

Thanks Jayashree, but I was responding to you specifically and not trying to write for what you term as 'masses', and certainly not with an agenda to draw crowds of readers to this thread or my writing etc :-) Since you managed to rephrase to your satisfaction what I wrote, obviously you were succe...

Hi Jayashree, thank you for this post. I look forward to learning more about Karma and the Hindu beliefs! Welcome, Ms_Guided Angel! Very nice of you to appreciate my effort. Please feel free to contribute about the doctrines of any other religion - how it views (or invalidates) Karma, etc. Their vi...

HAIKU - "If all religions can be accepted"

I wrote this short Haiku for this picture for some poetry competition last year. If all religions could be equally accepted, then - ZamZam's invigorating water Zealously enters the shrine at Tirupathi, and   Prayers to the almighty at the mosque, make Punishments seem much lighter than what they are...

Re: Karma / re-incarnation

Hello RR, I have taken the liberty to rephrase your reply above (as much as I can) so that this thread invites readers. (I had difficulty following your reply, had to read it couple of times to be able to follow....). (My father was an English scholar and was regarded "walking dictionary". But when ...
