I don't listen to 80's music, but I do like Pandora and lastfm for online radio, especially the symphonic metal stations

None of the music I've ever listened to before was based on silence. The closest I've heard to that is the April Fool's Day prank track iTunes put out for free. Everyone was downloading it without knowing it was a prank, and it's just a silent 2 minute track lol

I've never heard of avant garde music, can some of you explain what it is? It sounds interesting

That's the only song I remember hearing by her to be honest. And yes those commercials are tearjerkers. Personally I think that song goes well with the ASPCA commercials

I like trance too, usually i prefer the kind that's easy to dance to such as Cascada, Kim Sozzi, and Infected Mushroom, as well as a few techno/dance/rave DJs I found on Youtube. What kind of trance do you like, and can you recommend any artists for me to look up?

I do like classical music sometimes, but i'm not way into classical, just certain songs that I happen to like. It does sound great once it's all put together by the orchestra though
