You have a point - I'm sure all astrology originates somewhere.  Thanks for the clarification.  Which book is that chapter from - I don't recognize any of those names?  My reading in the areas of Eastern, Chinese, Indian, Burmese and Arabic Astrology is very limited and have never bee...

Questions

You're very welcome, Dreamfairy.  I think it was synchronicity that led me to look at your chart; I have had my first Neptune square this year too, and am looking at 2 more hits over the next year.  If you have experiences to share, I'd love to hear them!  Questions about your chart a...

What's in your chart?

I came across a free article at Astrodatabank.com researching the charts of astrologers.  It outlines their research methods, the configurations they tested, and the results of the most likely chart indications of astrologers.  There is also an article on Vedic Astrology if you're interest...

15 deg Lib to 15 deg Sco

Via combusta is translated "the burned path", or "fiery way".  I found out this corresponded to the half of Anu descending south which contained the constellation Scorpio and malefic fixed stars.  Because of precession, these fixed sstars have now advanced about 30 degrees since the ancien...

Mars crosses the ascendant again on Jan 7 2009 - it takes 2 years to make a complete cycle.  Still, You might notice something when it opposes the ascendant on Oct 22 this year.  I have personally not experimented with the opposition. I hope this link works: http://mysticboard.org/viewtopi...

Hi Dreamfairy, Yes, Campanus did make quite a difference!  There is much debate on which system is right. It makes sense to me for you to stay with the one your teacher is using.   First let me say I am sorry for your loss.  I am sure things will settle down and we can save that for a...

So you knew the answer to the question before you asked?

Thank you for your opinion.   I have clearly offended you by trying to help here.

My answer to the query and your question was sound, can be backed up and is to the best of my knowledge.  If I need to provide any more proof I will refrain from trying to help further.

3 signs

Hi there,
By my calculations you have Sagittarius Sun (01:20), Leo Ascendant (19:26) and Cancer Moon (18:33).  These will make up the 3 sides of your personality.
And now you know!

Rishi

Hmm, I have heard of the ruling planet being referred to as a significator in Horary Astrology.  In mundane, natal and predictive Astrology I believe they're referred to as ruling planets, or rulerships.  And they're pretty much the same thing :)

Hi Suzyn, I checked on my software and concur with the placements of your planets.   Do you have access to astrology software?  If you do, I would do up charts in 5 min intervals to get a better idea of your time of birth.  There is another thread here that explains how you would work...

Hi Dreamfairy,
I checked your chart on my software, and I found Pluto in the 8th, with no Jupiter return.  Is that the right place name? And are you using Placidus or Koch?
Let me know,

Your sign

Hi there, I just checked with the data you gave and the chart shows you have a Gemini Sun (personality).  Is there "daylight savings time" when you were born here?  It will make a slight difference in the rest of your planets and points. If there is no daylight savings time, your Moon (emo...

There's the discrepancy

You're welcome! Ok that's what is making the difference: -8 GMT:  Puts your asc at Sag.   +8 GMT:  Puts your asc at Leo and Venus in Libra.   I believe this is the right one.  I'm not sure why my program thinks you are in -8 time zone, but it's safe to say you'll probably ha...
