Respected Gurujis,

I have completed the first lesson. I have also read the second lesson and will complete it in couple of days time. Sorry for taking a little bit extra time as I thought understanding the basics are very important in learning. Hope you too appreciate my views.

I have a basic question. I have gone through the chart of few persons (including my chart) and noticed that Rahu and Katu are placed always in a gap of 6 houses. Example if Ketu is in 5th house Rahu is in 11th house and vice-versa. Like this is there any other combination or rule exist for the other planets. If not is there any other reasons for it.

Kindly explain.

Thanks

Krishna

PS: My thanks to Rishiji for accepting me to call as Guruji.

Q2: List out the Rashis and Bhaavas occupied by the planets in your chart.

Q3: Following are the placement of Grahas in a chart.
Surya in vrischika
Chandra in Tula
Mangal in Simha
Budha in Dhanus
Guru in Mesha
Shukra in Tula
Shani in Kumbha
Rahu in Mithuna
Ketu in Dhanus
Lagna in Kumbha.

Draw a Rashi chakra from the above information.

Q4: From the following placement of Grahas draw a Rashi chakra.
Lagna in Kanya.
Surya in the eighth house.
Chandra in the fifth house.
Mangal in the ninth house.
Budha in the ninth house.
Guru in the tenth house.
Shukra in the ninth house.
Shani in the ninth house.
Rahu in the ninth house.
Ketu in the third house.

Thank you.
Dear VivekJi,

Understood , thank you. I understand the reference position of the rashis for Q.3 are position given for Lord Sri Rama's birth chart. Please clarify!

And also if I take the rashi chart for Q.3 as Lord Sri Raama's chart, does the Bhaava of Shani (where Kumbha is present in Rahsi chart) mean descending as it is in 8th Bhaava?
Thank you!

Raman:- I am not very clear about your question but if you r trying to sa that chart in Q3 is lord Rama's chart then answer is NO.His chart's lagan is NOT kumbha. This is just a chart where planets and raashi they are placed in are given along with lagna and u have to draw it with gievn information

And also if I take the rashi chart for Q.3 as Lord Sri Raama's chart, does the Bhaava of Shani (where Kumbha is present in Rahsi chart) mean descending as it is in 8th Bhaava?

Raman :- Hint is given in above reply of mine. You just have to see what is given information in Q3 and Q4. and make 2 different Raashi chakra as per given information. For Q3. kumbha is mentined to be lagna and Q4. has kanya as lagna raashi.I hope i am able to clear your doubt

Thank you!

Namaskaar Krishnakumar ji,
Raahu and Ketu are the two Nodes of Chandra. They are not really Planets. They are the points of intersection of the Moons and suns path from the Earth's viewpoint. The two points of intersection are always opposite (180 degrees apart) and hence they are always placed in opposite raashis. No other grahas have such rules.

Thank you Vivekji for lucidly explaining thre three charts within Jyotish. I for one did not know that Brihaspati chakra is read clockwise. Likewise, I did not know that Rashis are fixed in the Sukra Chakra. I have seen and read Surya Chakras only (as I stay in eastern India). I thank RishiRahulji for allowing usage of anyone, we are comfortable with. Before reaching his posting, my exercise book was full of various charts. :) Good for us though. Before, I go further, may I know answers of the following -

- Is the outcome of all three charts is same based on the same principles or is it as different as between western & Vedic ?

- What the chandra chakra that is used in western India looks like. An example will suffice.

With Warm Regards.

Namaskaar Pankaj ji,
Ka written in Gurmukhi script, devanagri or Bengali is the same.
Likewise the three charts are not different in content but just in representation.
Secondly Raashis are not fixed in Shukra chakra but the Bhaavas are.
Chandra chakra that you speak about is a name we have tried to give to charts made in the circular format as in western Astrology. See the first post of the Panchaanga lesson. in the birth chart jpg image attached, you will find it.

Namaskaar

Please find my answers attached. It was easier to put it in a file than type free text here. Hope you don't mind that. If you do, let me know and I shall accordingly change mode in future.

Looking forward to your feedback on the answers.
