Chapter No.18

Post by Pravin Kumar » Mon Oct 15, 2007 4:16 pm

This chapter refers to Mounts and Fingers. How to recognise them i.e. which Mount is the leading one , which finger is prominent. As seen in Figures No.86 onwards you will find how to recognise which mount is prominent and which one is less prominent. Which Finger is prominent. Just look at the hand. Where there is a vertical line below the finger that Mount maybe be prominent provided the portion below the finger (Jupiter and Mercury) is thickly padded. Below the Saturn and Apollo Finger one will find depressions or valleys. If still not sure look at the fingers above the Mount which you think is prominent. The Finger is also bound to be prominent. The finger which stands erect has its importance for it pulls all other fingers towards it.

So the nature of the person and to what profession he would be successfulin is decided by the prominence of the Mounts and Fingers. Eg. Jupiter Finger and the Jupiter Mount is prominent then the person will have Jupiterian qualities. Which phalange is important will help one evaluate which profession he would be best suited. Add to this the second best mount and you will get the definite direction of the profession.

The other three Mounts do not have fingers like Mars, Venus and Moon. So the area of the Mount decides which one is prominent. For Moon the outer curve if prominent will show it is prominent. If Mount of Venus is well developed and its area is large then it will be prominent and for Mars again the outer curve at the portion below the Mercury Finger but between the Heart and Head Line will show Upper Mars to be prominent and if the Lower Mars just above the Thumb and below the Life Line will show if it is prominent if it is padded.  The plain of mars if prominent will also show the prominence quality of that Mount.

If still one is confused then there are other indications which will be discussed later on i.e. the appearance and habits of a person. Saturnian and Moon Mounts people are tall, Jupiterians, Apollinians and Mercurians are naturally short. Mars will be robust and Venusian will have that Venusian qualities like love for music, nature, flowers, life etc. etc.

Palmistry Lessons Chapter No.18 A

The size of the fingers to be noted in relation to other. Saturn Finger will be the longest normally and whether Jupiter Finger is longer than Apollo Finger or vice versa and also note whether Mercury Finger is long. Note whether the finger is low set compared to its normal setting i.e. intruding upon the area of the mount. This will reduce the qualities of that mount. Normallymany persons have the mercury finger low set.

Also note whether the fingers bend towards the neighbouring finger. If so it gives away some of its qualities to the neighbouring finger as that finger has the power to draw the other finger towards it. If a particular finger is crooked then it increases the value of the finger but in a negative way. Eg. If the mercury finger is crooked then it makes a person shrewd and calculative in a negative way i.e. such a person is out to earn money and outwit others by negative means. Also observe which phalange of the Finger is prominent. With this one can calculate whether that particular finger will work in intellectual world, practical word or act sordidly.

Systematically Colour, Consistency, Flexibility etc. etc. taught in the earlier chapters has to be applied to the fingers and the mount to get the reading finer still. Tips of the fingers will also give deeper insight to a persons character. Then health defects can be noted by which mount is leading and noting the defective nails on which finger. Each mount has its health defects. Also note if the fingers are short or long and apply its qualities to the mount and the finger and again you get more deeper insight to a persons character.
