Hi Michael,
Credit should always be given, where credit is due.
I wish to commend you for this short but deeply moving poem, as when compared to all your earlier ones this is the first one which speaks to me of feelings with which most of us can fairly easily identify (this is important to your chances of getting a reply).
Many of our fears arise from us believing as though we need to face life's challenges alone. That we are the only person who is having to go through this.
It is not so much what happens or does not happen to us but rather the personal meaning which we give to each event, which largely determines how we will feel and respond to these challenges.
It is simple but incredibly deep poetry like yours which helps all of us to come closer together as fallible, damaged human beings, and forces us to recognise that we are with our few differences all working on a similar page when it comes to having to confront our greatest fears, and put them into their proper perspective.
There is a strength which comes from large numbers of us all having to learn to confront and deal with these common fears?
Excellent work!
Please continue!
Brian

Fear
when one feels fear
is it the fear of the adversary?
one waits
fear dissipates
courage arrives
use it or lose it
kill the adversary
or die trying
earn a name
my name is Michael at my level because I've earned it
you have a name
earned or not is not for Michael to determine
