THE BEAUTY OF FAILURE

Post by Pravin Kumar » Tue Jul 23, 2013 12:56 pm

If the need to grow is deep within you, if that is your ultimate aim, then, first of all, you should be clear about your experience.

You know what you have experienced, but whatever you have not, you need not dismiss it by saying that it does not exist. Just say you don’t know. It is in accepting that you don’t know that you will actually grow.

If you want to experience growth, consider your own life as an experience. You have experienced your body, your mind and the external world to some extent. At certain times, you must have also experienced the energy that makes your body and mind function.

Beyond this, everything else is just imagination. Your imagination flows the way that society has taught you. Look into what is there in your experience and what is not. Remember, it is important to accept the truth if you have not experienced something. If you pretend to experience something that you have actually not, your whole life will pass in pretensions.

You don’t have to come to any conclusion about having an experience or not. Just accept that you do not know about it; only then you will seek, only then will you will search. Whether you are seeking the truth or you are seeking God, you first have to seek, only then shall you find. And where should you seek? You should look within.

Right now, your body is very important to you. You have to feed it and clothe it. But your body is your superficial manifestation. There is something invaluable “within” you.

Nobody wants a corpse  because it is lifeless; it does not have that invaluable thing called “life”. Only because the fruit called “life” is inside the peel called “body”, that your body is so important. What happens if the fruit within is gone? There is nothing after that.

But people are not bothered about the fruit. They are preoccupied with the peel. Won’t it be bitter if you keep on eating the peel? It may taste sweet for a bit, since it is connected to the fruit.

Everybody prefers sweetness to bitterness, don’t they? The sweet fruit can be compared to life and its experiences. If you struggle a lot, you will find sweetness in the form of victory. And there is a possibility that you will enjoy this sweetness.

Bitterness, on the other hand, will come from failure. But, nevertheless, it will enlighten you. It will add to your experience. After all, it is in knowing both success and failure that you will truly grow.
