Scorpio and Mental Health

Post by EnemyNumeroUno » Tue Jun 05, 2007 1:36 am

Just curious, but is it common for scorpios to undergo extremes, referring to mood changes.  And how should a scorpio deal with schizophrenia?  I am a scorpio, so I know the extremes that we go to inside our minds,  but how common is it for the scorpio to feel threatened by his surroundings, and feel the pain of others from miles away?

As a scorpio you will have wild mood swing. If you watch the lunar cycles you will be able to adjust better to the direction of the swing and there by better be able to control yourself.

Also scorpio are the predators of the zodiacs. Feeling threaten by your surrounding's is a defense safeguard, keep you on your toes and alert for danger.

That is not pain you feel, that is weakens. As a predator seek out weakens in  order to attack. However you do have the option to help. The choice is your.

Of all the zodiac, scorpios rise above all in healing. That also extend to healing others in none conventional ways.

Just because you are a predator does not mean you have to attack, however you can with deadly result. It is a whole lot easier to heal and retreat quietly!  :smt002

I'm a scorpio, but I find that it works just the opposite with me.  I have tremendous control over my emotions and actions and I think it comes from the mere strenght of the sign.  I've found it to be a very powerful thing too.

People are so accustomed to being yelled at and chewed out and argued with they don't know how to deal with someone who is truly in command of themselves and their faculties and they back down quickly and you'd be amazed how often you get your way.

I'll give you a good example.  At work one time a new person went off on me in a meeting in front of a lot of people including our three partners who own the business.  These 3 people know me very well and they know I don't play that game.  I just quietly and calmly told the newby that it doesn't matter who you are, from bottom to top, in this organization you do not go off on me.  I will discuss anything you want to as long as it's in a calm, rational, cilvilized, adult and professional matter but until then the "discussio" is over.  When you are in as much control of yourself as I am of myself we can pick up where we left off but until then you don't speak to me at all.  Not only did it unplug her, but my managing partner was sitting there with a little grin on his face and she never stepped out line with me again.

BTW, yes, I've been accused more than once of being a Vulcan for all you Star Trek fans.
Best regards.

There are several different "topics" in question here.
First off, extreme mood changes are very common among scorpios - particularily extreme in the females due to monthly horomone changes.
Second, the best way (most would say the ONLY way) to deal with schizophrenia is with the help of medical professionals - general practitioners can make referals to specialists in that area, such as: psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses and treatment centers for the like.
Third, feeling threatened by one's surroundings is also a mental illness called a "phobia". There are a number of phobias that deal with that type of fear - mainly: *Agoraphobia - fear of open spaces, crowded places, groups of people, and/or leaving a safe place - also known as Social Phobia.
Fourth, the question of feeling the pain of others from far away is rare in any zodiac sign. Although I myself am a scorpio and have the ability to "feel" or "sense" the pain of others, it has been my experience (and from some research for my own personal quest on the matter) that the person I feel/sense the pain of is someone I am intimately connected to at the heart. Example: my parents, my siblings, my first husband, my children, and so on. Although, it is well known, in the world of astrology, that scorpios are considered to be the MOST psychic of all the signs and therefore, IF it is honed and refined properly, are more prone to these kinds of "abilities".
I hope this helps anyone that reads this information.
I speak from years of experience in the fields of social work, mental health research, and my own quests for knowledge.

I agree on the control of the emotions too.  I was never the lash out type unless continuously provoked.  I am the type that holds it in and gives the calm demeanor....and it drives my Cancer husband wild...because he knows me well enough that something is wrong...yet he can't get it out of me and I appear normal on the outside to anyone else.  Only those closest to me know the real ticking going on behind the scene in my mind as a silent revenge.  Plotting a silent assault for later...such as deleting a favorite tv show off tivo before they can watch it, hiding favorite cereal.  Childish things like that...but it hits my sense of eye for an eye....you did something to bother me...and I gritted my teeth...and I will do something to annoy you.

Interesting takes ;)

I tend to hold my emotions in until I can't stand it any more. And then I write about it. I'm the journaling type when it comes to emotional overload. I tend to lash outmore in self-defense than anything else. I don't like to get all upset, because I'm the one that ends up more emotional over it.....and as I've aged I've learned that some people just aren't worth the time. :)
Live happily, laugh heartily, love completely :)

scorpio 100%

Well here I am going on 49, and I have learned and relized just how bad I must sound when I am going off. oNE HUNDRED percent Scorpio, and it is weird cause it
could be the littlest things that piss me off.  I  have a hard time in relationships because I don't take any bullshit from no man. I do what I want and like to come and go
as I please without being asked a bunch of questions, I guess that is where the secretness comes in. I am a very independant woman now past (2) years I work and pay
my own way in life. My mood swings are often and people that don't really no me would say I m a bitch, but actually I am not I would do anything for a friend I go above nd beyond. I'd be the first to back you up not even knowing the circumstances, loyale yes I am . I have a big heart and feel other peoples pain a bit to much at times. Yet I am a very controlling person, jealous person and that I hate. I hate my sailor mouth, I have had my jaw broken three times because of it, yet I say what I feel when I feel it. Not realizing or I should say not caring at the time who I hurt. I am not one to apolizise cause 99  percen of the time I am not sorry. Yet, I don't like constructive criticsisum.
To me the bad side of me outweighs the good, in different ways, I have lived with it all my life I see no change in the near future, I just stay away from big crowds mind my ownm business and my sons and my grandkids and my close friends.
Thats me Marsha jo

ALL water signs are bit sulky and moody. Again, all water signs are psychic and it is quite possible to be psychically linked to others doesn't matter whether is 3miles or 300 hundred miles.

Scorpio is a very deeply emotional and private sign and apt to play its cards close to its chest. Also quite capable of emotional manipulation (as are all the water signs) as in 'playing on people's feelings' to get their own way.

Health conditions needs to be assessed by planets in 6th house of health, Asc sign any planets in 1st house and their aspects.

Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.

So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....

Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...

Remember back to your school days an opposition is 180', square 90', trine 120', and sextile 60' Now challenged aspects are conj (depending on the planets, cos some like each other and some really don't) squares and oppositions. Easy aspects are conj (if the planets get along) eg: Jupiter conj Moon, sextile and trine. Quincunx is inbetween (depending on the planets) causes health strains and unresolved or hard to balance planets/energies.
