Hi Guys,
Although we have a Tutorial on this spread, some may benefit by learning more background on this spread, and how to apply the knowledge to extract more information from this spread.
When we link the Hebrew alphabet and the numeric values, we can have a broader understanding of how each position links, expands and conclude.
In doing this expansion, we can see how the numeric values also advance into different "spheres" The Major Arcanum has been assigned a specific letter in the Aleph-Beth. Looking at the Aleph-Bet, we see that certain numbers or letters are assigned to three differing levels of energy;
1) Archetypal,
2) Existential,
3) Cosmic.
Some are limited to the Archetypal, but others have an interactive influence or relationship moving into the existential and cosmic levels. Others have "finals", trancsending into the cosmic level.
0-Fool
1- Magician-Aleph,
2- High Priestess-Beth,
3- Empress-Gimmel,
4- Emperor-Daleth,
5 -The Hierophant-Heh,
6- The Lovers-Vav,
7- The Chariot-Zain,
8- Strength-Cheth,
9- The Hermit-Teth,
10- The Wheel of Fortune-Yod,
11- Justice Kaph,
12- The Hanged Man-Lamed,
13- Death-Mem,
14-Temperance-Nun,
15- The Devil-Samekh,
16- The Tower-Ayin,
17- The Star-Peh,
18- The Moon-Tzaddi,
19- The Sun-Kaph,
20- Judgement-Resh,
21- TheWorld-Shin
22- Tav, NOT ASSIGNED.
We see that Tav is not assigned to a specific Major Arcanum card, when considering the Fool, this card may be assigned to any position as it is a "wild" card. Looking at playing card decks, The Fool, is the Joker, and can be adjusted to fill Tav or Aleph! It may be trumped by a higher Major Arcanum card, or trumps all the Majors! Our understanding or view on the Fool, should be considered as "unnumbered". Although it is assigned ZERO, we look at Tarrochi Siciliano where we find "Miseria-Poverty" as an unnumbered card, not assigned 0, but clearly unnumbered.
The pip cards counts one to ten, then we find our Court cards. In the Sola Busca Tarot, the court cards are numbered; 11-Page or Knafe, 12-Knight, 13-Queen, 14-King. The significance in this, is to be considered as the RW and Thoth decks are largely based on the SB. Most other decks are derivatives or based on RW. We can theorise to say that even Thoth deck is based or influenced a great deal by the RW.
