'Twilight' - rate it

Post by misty sur » Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:43 pm

Have you seen twilight? give me reviews. tell me how you will rate the movie out of 10? keep in mind the fact that there's a huge section of girls that is simply crazy about this mystic movie.

I give Twilight an 8, New Moon and Eclipse a 9. Originally I had no desire to see it but I gave it a chance and it was pretty good. I can't understand the extreme obessesion some have with it though.

Dear Zetascair20086, thank you for your rating. have you read the books? then you would probably understand why viewers are so crazy abt this film. Stephenie Meyer understands girls. so do the directors of all these movies. do i need to say more?

I was in a trance for a whole week after watching the movie. It captures you in this fantasy world. aaaahhhh.

the sequel did not have the same magic as the original.

I haven't read the books but I got the Bree Tanner book and plan on reading it soon. Depending how much I like that I may or may not read the other books.

been awhile sense i've seen it but i what i remember can not give it more then a 4-5.  just felt like someone took the vampire story and made up some new stuff about vampires for the sole purpose of, well i don't know the reason. kind of waste of time.  vampires that sparkle in the day light  :smt018
as for New Moon i was just so bored to tears  :smt010

what's really sad is that i really wanted to like the movies which is why i watched new moon.  i love a good vampire movie then add werewolfs how can you go wrong well they did.  :smt020
Common sense dictates there is no such thing as common sense.

Don't make judgements on the basis of the "Bree Tanner" book. that's probably the worst among the lot. Proceed according to the order, read 'Twilight" first and then the others.

I'm almost done with the Bree Tanner book and I'm liking it so far. Still not sure whether or not I'll read the rest of the series. I just not sure I wanna wait two years to see both Breaking Dawn movies.

I finished the Bree Tanner book and thought it was pretty good. It will make seeing Eclipse again more interesting knowing the backstory.

I give them a 0.
For being bad. Painful, lacking in story, see through, predictable, and anti-feminist in the terrible Mary-Sueism of the characters, written as a blank canvas for self insertation, and brings no other message then having a hot, supernatural BF is important. Sure, I admit it's fine train literature, and leaves nothing behind, but the hype? I dont' understand it.
As one person said : It's about a young girl's choice between bestiality and necrophilia. :P
It's the same old, boring teen cliche given a new 'sparkly look' (pun intended) for better marketing.
As for 'understanding girl' - I as a girl who liked books found it annoying. It made me feel like it was continually dumbed down. That made me angry. - Using fancy words does not make a good writer.
As for the film.
- I gave up about 20 minutes in. I found it so bad it made Poltergeist II look like art.

My son and I have read all the books and watched all the movies. We give all the movies a 10, aside from Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 because they are not out yet.
