They are the same as Rider Waite but they are Egyptian.
same major arc. names , and the minors are
coins, staff, swords. and cups. written in English
I tried to post pictures but can't seem to get it to do that.
I just want to know the name of these cards.
can anyone help me?

Hi,

Do you have any other clues, there are so many Egyptian decks, is there no name on them or in the leaflet?

I found this old post that helps to post images http://mysticboard.org/vi ... php?t=1370

Or f=go to the preview and then attach the picture by browsing.

Posting images 0n the forum.

Go to http://www.imageshack.us

Here you will see a "Browse" button. This button when clicked will open files on your computer.

Select the right image you want to host by goin to the folder the image is saved in.

Click "Host it".

Your image will be hosted and you will be directed to another webpage.

Please be patient this might take time depending on the size of the image and your internet connection speed.

Once your image is hosted you will be directed to a webpage which will show you several a URL and options to get the image on the forum. (Uniforum Resource Locator - Internet Address).

Select and copy "Hotlink for forums (1)" or "Hotlink for forums (2)" and *not* Thumbnails for Forum or hotlink for websites. I repeat Select and copy "Hotlink for forums (1)" or "Hotlink for forums (2)".

Now simply paste the code in your post and you are done.

Pesto! you are done!

Example:
Your URL will look like below and it will be without @ sign. i added it so that you all could see what imageshack url/codes will look like.

[@URL=http://www.imageshack.us][@IMG]http://img151.echo.cx/img151/3913/memberlist6nh.gif[@/IMG][@/URL]

If you remove @ from above then >>> <<< This will be your result.

there's a sight called Aeclectic Tarot that shows pictures of hundreds of Tarot cards that can be browsed by theme as well as by name may take some time but you could probable find your deck on there

I haven't used a lot of tarot decks since I've started, but I have used a few, (does electronic divination count?) I really enjoy the Sacred Circle Tarot, which I use on (another) software (*ahem*), but I use the Universal Tarot in hand, which I really enjoy, and they help me to focus better because of their simple themes.
However, in the past, I have had great success with Rider-Waite, The Ancient Egyptian Tarot, and the Tarot of the Old Path.
I'm really enthralled right now with the Sacred Circle Tarot, and have put it on my wish list for "real" decks to own, along with the Fairy Ring.

WOW What ones are my favorites?

I have been bitten by the tarot deck buying bug so i am almost addicted to buying a new deck every 6 months or so.

I'll always say my first deck is one of my most accurit decks.
Tarot of the Witches by Fergus Hall
Then I'll go with the Celtic Dragon Tarot by D. J. Hunt and Lisa Conway.
And my most trusted deck is the Thoth Tarot
They are my top 3. :smt003

I also love my Celestial Tarot, African Tarot (ONLY R/W like deck I own) and also I have to say I am very, very suprised at how much I am loving the Druidcraft Tarot.
My latest deck is the Universal Fantasy Tarot.
And just bought after years of drooling over Froud's Fairy Orcale cards. They will be my own personal deck for a while I am telling already. There is just something about the few readings I have done with them. My first reading with them cards, they almost got thrown acrossed the room. :smt083
Peace and Love,

Ancient Egyptian Tarot by Clive Barrett is my absolute favorite. Then again I love egyptian stuff anyway.

I love the deck I have, which is the Goddess Tarot deck.
I also liked this one I saw which had really detailed pictures of faeries on them.

The deck I don't like is the Rider-Waite. It's the most famous deck but I just don't enjoy the pictures too well. I love beautiful artwork and thats why I was attracted to the deck I bought.

I like my Dragon Tarot deck by Peter Pracownik and Terry Donaldson. I use that deck most of the time. I have the Crowley Thoth tarot deck. I also have the Rider- Waite, but I agree with sk33t9392 it never appealed to me. I bought it to try to learn but now I don't even use it. I would really like to try the Revelations tarot by Zach Wong. I really like the art work on it.

The Revelations Deck is very interesting, it has pictures that can be read upright but when the cards are reversed they turn into a different picture. Fascinating :)

Favorite tarot decks

Post by rick_saxton » Sat Aug 04, 2007 7:47 pm

I have two favorite tarot decks. The first is the Radiant rider-waite deck. I like it because it is, well, radiant. Also, I studied the B.O.T.A curiculum and their trump cards are very similar to the rider-waite deck, so I can appreciate the symbolism. The other deck I like is the mandala astrological tarot. I like the symbolism and the fact that they have the astrological correspondences on the cards. Another interesting characteristic of the cards is that they are square.
