Picking Cards

After shuffling the deck do you take the cards from the top or do you spread them out and pick them randomly?

I normally pick the cards from the top. But this is a choice you have.

It all depends on the question and the spread where you take them from and also if you have one pile or many.

i choose my cards from the top of the deck after a spilt of the main pile into three. for me it doesn't matter on the spread and/or the question etc. as said, it is your choice.  i shuffle, spilt the deck, and pick the card the same way every time. i even have the routine of how i do my cards in my book of shawdows (not that you ask that).  :smt002
