Makes sense to me... I often feel like the Fool.... I seem to be stuck in the Struggle and Strife part of the journey!!!!

Fool's Journey

Post by wraymond » Thu Feb 08, 2007 10:58 pm

The fool is my favorite card. I think the secret is more in his number. To me it represents an eternal circle. Besides being a Zero, or an empty number, it also represents a vessel that my be empty and is open to learning all the great things before him, has no fear of the unknown, only has to learn how to handle it.

Fool's Journey

I never thought of it in that context, but I have to agree with you. Most people see zero as less than, inferior, or just see negativity. But The Fool is suited well with the zero.... He is just learning, just starting his adventure... a blank slate... When the circle is completed, he is the teacher position, ready to pass along his insights and knowledge to the next Fool!

the first thing i think of when i see the fool in a reading is look before you leap...a cautionary tale..also i see the little dog snapping at his heels as he walks along...and that is a personal thing that comes to me in readings that sometimes it means that literally someone is snapping at your heels...
but it is also a very refreshing card....he may be foolhardy..but he is full of innocence..and it is the excitement at the start of any journey in life that is refreshing..it reminds me of being a teenager and thinking that i could conquer the world...feeling that i could overcome anything...wonderful feelings

I felt that way as a teen too!! I remember feeling that I could overcome anything... nothing could stop me for long... I still get that feeling now! Just not as often as I'd like!!
