If someone asks qualities they dislike in their relationship and you get this card what could it be telling you?

I think you are trying to answer you own question and what you would like to see.....
If there is selfishness around you, I feel this card is telling you to accept that and have the inner strength to overcome it rather than resent it and despise yourself or the situation.
This is the most noble of all strengths and it is the ability to face things with the power of your mind, the strength of the words you speak and the firmness of the feelings you convey.

My take on this.

Hi,

I think Cedars summed it up very well,

Another interpritation:

Meaning: Overcoming obstacles. Spiritual strength and force of will. Victory overwhelming odds.
Meditation:
This card symbolises the inner strength required to overcome obstacles placed in your path. Brute force is not conquered by brute force; rather, it is spiritual strength that overcomes physical strength. In almost all the legends of humans overcoming some powerful beast, be it a lion or a dragon, or anything else, victory is won by right, not by might—by the individuals inner fortitude and trust in God.
The beast in this case may be or represent external obstacles to your spiritual progress. It also represents the beast within, however, your own fears and passions, and other qualities within yourself which may seem to be stronger than you are, but which can be changed and tamed if you persist in the belief that it is you who are the stronger. The lion symbolises any apparently unbeatable opponent which can be conquered if you have faith in yourself and the will to succeed. (Just an example: anyone who has ever given up smoking, or stayed with a strict diet, has conquered this kind of beast.)The allegory here is also, as mentioned above, of a battle between the physical and the spiritual enlightenment. To achieve your ends, you must overcome or tame your base passions and force them to surrender to your higher self.

Upright
Force of will, moral strength. Personal vitality. Courage, triumph. Fortitude, determination, energy, defiance. Ability to endure hardship. Success.

Reversed
Abuse of power, despotism. Failure, disgrace. Weakness (either physical or spiritual), discord, lack of harmony.

You are facing a test of your endurance. If your will is stronger than whatever opponent you battle, you will survive and succeed. If not, your dreams end here. Fortitude is your key to victory; do not despair. If this card represents you, then you are facing a test of your own determination and will. The battle will not be an easy one, but you can win if you make up your mind to see this through. You will lose only if you choose to surrender.

Blessed be.
Do as you want, Harm none!

thanks for responding, it helped a lot.   this card is associated with Leo, so I am thinking perhaps we are focused on our selves instead of the relationship as a whole!

Hi Girl,

Yes it's associated to Leo, take it one step further and you see it manifest in The Sun card which describe success, this is refelected by the King and Queen of Wands--Looking at the Sun you find Sunflowers, The Queen has this as sceptre, and the King is purely Leo (Fire of Fire). The queen Aries (Fire of Water)---STEAMY, :smt002

If you have a relationship hitch, look at Queen of Wands and do as she would do things!! Then subtlely guide your man to do as King of Wands, a gentle pushing??  :smt003. Life is like a river, flow with it, but redirect it slowly and with hindsight!

Blessed be.
