Calculation systems?

Hi All

I am very new to numerology and was wondering what's the difference between just using your birthdate numbers and full name and birthdate data?

A friend of mine gave me a simple reading just using my birthdate data. Is this valid?

Being new to this forum in general, I'm confused about how to navigate and get the most out of it, if you know what I mean?

Well its simple, if you want simple reading birth date is enough, but combinatorics increases massively with your name, you wont find person with same name and birth date.

Date of birth can give general stuff, but with name, you can see your karma, pinnacles, challenges, cycles etc...

sometimes simple is better... start with a good solid foundation and build from there.... if you don't have a solid grasp of the basics the rest will be harder to understand

start with your life path -- your date of birth ... then add in more as you go

well from what i've learned your birthday number or birth number is your life path number and your birth number and destiny number (from your full name given at birth) ends up being your maturity number. every one has 5 core numbers. theres the life path, destiny, soul, personality and maturity. i'd be more than willing to help you figure these numbers and give you insite if you'd like
