Numerology Introduction

Blair's site was a great numerology introduction. I was blown away with the accuracy I had no choice but to take steps toward adding the science to my specialty group.

He seems to do things with numbers I have never seen before, though I am a novice at numerology. I studied (rather dabbled) it when I was younger, and can figure out the basics with the help of my books, but he's coming up with things I didn't even know you could do that aren't in any books I've ever read. He wrote me yesterday and allegedly he has taken interest in me (I assume this is a ploy to get me to buy his product) and he saw something life changing is going to happen to me this Saturday and he said he is working on it as fast as he can because it is very important and he would send me a detailed report tomorrow morning - I just like to avoid scam artists, and I have never heard of him before..

Thanks for your input, Astroman :) I appreciate the response.
Hes not pursuing you, lol, it is automated marketing system, do you think that he has time to email so many people, you could just click unsubscribe at the bottom at of the mail.

He certainly seems to have hard sell techniques barely disguised as 'genuine interest'. My mind could not quite compute the image of him hunched over my numerology chart assiduously 'working out' whatever. I suspect by now it is all computerised and automated even if your name is Hieronymus Humperdink Bosch and you are born in the 22nd century. At the press of a few buttons, bingo! new chart. That is why he can drop down so quickly to $60 or whatever. I thought his escalation from free to approx $500 worth of info was just a teensy weensy pushy, a little Mach 5.

That 'something life changing is going to happen to me this Saturday' routine is an old and standard ploy to create urgency in a potential buyer. Plus the blurb to induce in you the concept that you are special and that he is taking a special interest in you. A trifle unscrupulous from my point of view. Haven't received any more emails today. That's not to say he isn't a great numerologist. I just don't like or agree with his modus operandi. Best way to discover if he has any bad press is to simply Google his name, 'Blair Gorman'.

Good Luck,   Ayla

PS Anybody? Where the hell are the emoticons and font options? They seem to be missing from this page.

Very Good Response here!

I hate it when people try to take advantage of those who seek some form of emotional/spiritual support. The techniques listed here are so phony- it reminds me of "Jenny Craig" calling me everyday because they are "concerned" about my weight-loss" goals and missing me from returning to their center.

But I have a small problem .and I am not alone in my thoughts .

quote from linda goodman :

the problem of money and spirituality is not new .there is nothing wrong with earning large sums of money .what matters is how you earn it and what you do with it after you've received it.

however there is a singular rule and metaphysical precept concerning the relationship between money and spiritual counsel.

the rule is clear, and repeated in every holy work in every religion .

MONEY MUST NOT CHANGE HANDS BETWEEN ESOTERIC TEACHER AND STUDENT.........

I have gotten a reading from Blair & had another done for my special friend. The readings were accurate & percise. I have recieved other readings from him/ her, ( not sure which gender), & would have to say that there is obviously some true insight & wisdom. Simply due to information that I recieved that they could not possibly have known. I have not & will not pay for a reading. drrywyn was absouletly correct in what he said in the previous post. Spiritual guidance is never to be used to obtain money. If money is the root to all evil....then please keep your spirit pure!! You can't buy what is not for sale.

Well what I heard of him is that he has been on the scene quite a while and is a direct response marketer, who was previously involved in some marketing testing software. I have not tried his readings because of the hard sell.

LOL is that why every church or place of worship in existence accepts money donations - because they are so unconcerned with it? :)

It seems that some of the ways he calculates differant numbers are differant than I have heard other numerologists say
to do it. I also think that the freebies he offers get you into a big jumble of these annoying mass mailing emails that
are worthless. I'm not impressed.

I nearly fell for his offer, as well. His forecast was quite precise. But when I noticed you had to pay for it I got sceptical.
Maybe we can compare what he send to us, to know if it's 100% fake automation

You might think that birthstones are only associated with the
Zodiac signs. This is not exactly true. They are also associated
with what month you are born in. The origin of the twelve monthly
birthstones was thought to have originated in Bible as they were
found on the breastplates of Aaron.

Yet another difference between the monthly and the Zodiac stones is
that the monthly stones have more a numerological association
whereas the Zodiac stones relate more to astrology.

January - The garnet is named as the January birth stone in just
about every tradition or culture The glittering red garnet is the
stone representing January in Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and
Russian traditions. In the ancient Hindu tradition the stone for
January was the serpent stone, but this is not a stone that has been
seen by anyone. Chances are it was a ruby or a black stone.

February - The symbolic stone is agreed upon as being the amethyst
according to North American, Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and
Russian traditions.  In ancient Hindu it was the chandrakankta
which once again is a stone nobody living today has ever seen so
it cannot be described.

March - Modern North America culture names the aquamarine as the
stone for this month. However in Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and
Russian traditions the stone for this stormy month is the
bloodstone.  In the ancient Hindu tradition it was a stone called
gold-sivalinga which once again is not a stone ever seen by
contemporary eyes.

April - North American culture names the diamond as the birth stone
for April. In Jewish, Hindu and Polish cultures the diamond is also
named as the April birthstone. However in Roma, Persian and
Russian traditions, the stone that has symbolized the month is
sapphire.

May - In contemporary North American, Arabic, Hindu, Polish and
Russian traditions, the birthstone for the month of May is emerald.
However the Hebrew and Roman traditions say the month belongs to
the agate.

June - June is one of those months that seem to be symbolized by an
array of stones.  Contemporary North American culture names the
stone of the month to be moonstone, pearl or alexandrite. Ancient
Hindu tradition also names the pearl as the birthstone for June.
However in ancient Roman and Hebrew traditions June was ruled by
the emerald (possibly because the green represented summer.) In
Russian, Polish and Arabic cultures the stone that rules this month
is agate, which to make things even more confusing is a striped
stone comes in many colors.

July- In North American, Polish and Russian culture the birthstone
for this mid summer month is ruby. In Hebrew and Roman traditions
it is onyx. The Arabic culture assigns the carnelian to July and
the Hindu religion says a sapphire represents this month.

August - Many different stones are often said to belong to the
month of August. The modern North American tradition says the month
is symbolized by peridot. The Hebrew and Roman traditions attribute
it to the carnelian. The Arabic and Polish traditions say the month
belongs to the sardonyx. The Hindu tradition assigns August the
ruby and the Russian tradition assigns it the alexandrite.

September - In modern North American traditions, this autumn month
is said to be ruled by the sapphire. However in Hebrew, Roman,
Arabic, Polish and Russian traditions peridot is given as the
ruling stone.  The Hindu tradition assigns the zircon to September.

October - The opal or the tourmaline is usually assigned to
October.  However Hebrew, Roman, Arabic and Polish birth gem stone
traditions say that aquamarine is the symbolic stone. The Russian
culture says the month is ruled by the beryl. Ancient Hindu
tradition says the stone is coral.

November - The North American tradition assigns either yellow topaz
or citrine as the gemstones for this month.  The Hebrew, Roman,
Arabic and Russian traditions also say it belongs to topaz.
November is symbolized by the cat's eye in the Hindu culture.

December - The North American tradition says December is symbolized
by three choices of three blue stones: tanzanite, turquoise or blue
topaz. The Hindu religion also assigns it to topaz, and the Russian
and Polish traditions assign it to turquoise. The Arabic, Roman and
Hebrew traditions say the rosy colored ruby rules this month.

This is interesting because very often your choice of a Zodiac
stone will conflict with what is the birth month stone.  Some of
the stones also cross over to astrology. For instance if you are
born in November the symbolic stone is topaz and if you are a
Sagittarian born after the 23rd then your stone will be at topaz as
well.

The day of the month that you were born on could be significant, as
it determines what type of job you might best be suited to do. This
is because in some folk forms of numerology the digits of the day
you were born are said to symbolize the tools and talents that you
were born with in life.

So ...

One. If you were born on the first day of the month, then you must
be the center of attention so being a politician; public speaker,
actor or performer best suits you. You are also a born leader.

Two.  If you were born on the second day of the month you relate to
people more emotionally than cerebrally, and would make a good
psychologist, counselor or sales clerk.

Three. If you were born on the third day of the month then you are
tolerant of others and like the spotlight. You make a good teacher,
theologian or performer.

Four, if you were born on the fourth day of the month you are
energetic and have a good design sense. You make a good house
builder or gardener.

Five.  Those born on the fifth have inquisitive minds and make good
scientists, teachers and computer experts.  A job that combines
technology with travel is perfect (such as a pilot.)

Six. You are pleasant, know what to say and would make a good
advisor, consultant or nurse.

Seven.  You have high ideals and are very precise. You make a good
novelist, scientist or chemist.

Eight. If you were born on the eighth day you are good with money
and are suited to business. You would make a good banker or builder.

Nine.  Those born on the ninth of the month are independent spirits
who make good counselors, spiritual advisors and healers.

Ten.  Those born on the tenth are intense, political and natural
born leaders.  You make a good executive, doctor or quality control
inspector.

Eleven.  These individuals are sensitive to the needs to others.
They make great teachers and counselors.

Twelve. Those born on the twelfth of the month tend to be
consultants or fix-it type people. It is characteristic for them to
finish up the undone projects of others. They are good at mediating
and sales.

Thirteen.  You are a super salesperson who has both charisma and
leadership abilities. You excel at architecture, designing
infrastructures, politics and screenwriting.

Fourteen. If you were born on the fourteenth you have a methodical
way of working that makes you a good contractor, manager or
secretary.

Fifteen. This is the number of diplomacy and also denotes a person
who will speak several languages. You make a good banker, diplomat
or translator.

Sixteen.  This is an idealistic number and you make a good social
worker. You are also suited to shipping, fishing or working in
hospitality.

Seventeen. You love education and would make a good professor. You
are also a good counselor or psychiatrist. Fame as a writer is
indicated.

Eighteen. You are good at project planning and management. You can
thrive in any corporate environment.  Construction and design are
also possibilities.

Nineteen.  You are egotistical and forward-looking. Information
technology interests you but you could also be a good spiritual
counselor.

Twenty. You are a natural homemaker and would do well as a nurse,
caregiver or cleaning person.

Twenty-one. You are a master of speculation and organization and
would do well in the financial or publishing industries.

Twenty-two. You are intuitive and scientific at the same time and
would make an amazing nurse, doctor, counselor or architect.

Twenty-three. If you were born on the twenty-third day of the month,
you are a very analytical person who can mediate or face
anything. You would make a good accountant.

Twenty-four. You are good at understanding what makes people tick
and would be well suited to a career as a lawyer, paralegal,
executive or psychologist.

Twenty-five. If you were born on the twenty-fifth day of the month,
there is a very spiritual side to your nature, which makes you a
good advisor, counselor or healer.

Twenty-six. You are a hard worker with exceptional
organizational skills and would excel in a supervisory or
management capacity of any kind.

Twenty-seven. If you were born on the twenty seventh day of the
month, you are mercurial, intelligent yet quite eccentric. You are
suited to science, telecommunications and working on your own.

Twenty-eight. You are very creative and egotistical. You also love
to travel. You would do well working in the tourist industry.
Working with animals also suits you.

Twenty-nine. You are a very caring individual and would do well in
any medical field. You would also make a good physical trainer or
physiotherapist.

Thirty. You are chatty, charismatic and have a lot of natural
talent. You are suited to radio, television, writing or shining as
an athlete or inventor.

Thirty-one. You are a true leader and quietly strong and confident.
You are precise and would make a great researcher, scientist or
explorer of some kind. You are also an excellent entrepreneur and
others will willingly by from you or follow you.

In the following weeks we will be looking at relationship
compatibility more in depth. However in the meantime you might be
wondering in terms of numbers, just who gets along best with who?

In this newsletter we have created a bit of a summary of each
number, and who is their best bet in terms of a relationship.

Keep in mind that most relationship compatibility study is primarily
based on the Life Path number (the sum of the birthday reduced to a
single digit).  The second most important number to look at in
terms of compatibility is the Destiny Number (the sum of the full
name value reduced to a single digit.)  Most numerologists consider
at least those two numbers when creating a relationship
compatibility analysis.

Keep in mind as well that most numerologists eliminate the concept of
master numbers when doing relationship compatibility and reduce the
numbers 11 and 22 to their single digit equivalents (2 and 4
respectively.)

Compatibilities for Number 1

Best:          1, 5, 7
Possible:         3, 9
Challenging:        8
Disaster:        2,4,6

Compatibilities for Number 2

Best:          2, 4, 8
Possible:         3, 6
Challenging:        9
Disaster:        1,5,7

Compatibilities for Number 3

Best:          3, 6, 9
Possible:         1, 2, 5
Challenging:    (none, relationships are very black and white and
                       uncompromising for this number)
Disaster:        4, 7,8

Compatibilities for Number 4

Best:          2,4,8
Possible:         6, 7
Challenging:        (none)
Disaster:        1, 3, 5, 9

Compatibilities for Number 5

Best:          1, 5, 7
Possible:         3, 9
Challenging:        8
Disaster:        2, 4, 6

Compatibilities for Number 6

Best:          3, 6, 9
Possible:         2, 4, 8
Challenging:        (none - not a number that has middle ground)
Disaster:        1, 5, 7

Compatibilities for Number 7

Best:          1, 5, 7
Possible:         4
Challenging:        9
Disaster:        2, 3, 6, 8

Compatibilities for Number 8

Best:          2, 4, 8
Possible:         6
Challenging:        1, 5
Disaster:        3, 7, 9

Compatibilities for Number 9

Best:          3, 6, 9
Possible:         1, 5
Challenging:        2, 7
Disaster:        4, 8

As you can see some of the numbers have the capacity to get along
with more numbers than others.  The hardest number to get along
with is 4, which has more incompatible numbers than the other
numbers.

There are also many numbers (such as 6, 3 and 4) that simply have
no middle ground  - if there are challenges in a relationship it is
next to impossible for them to work on them as they have instant
likes and dislikes.

Of course the above is just a brief guide to which numbers get
along with each other. True compatibility studies are much more
complex than this.

Usually when you use numerology to look at relationships, you look
at two different types of numbers.

First you look at the Life Path number (the sum of the numbers in your
birthdate reduced to a single digit) and then you also look at the
Destiny number (which is based on the sum of the letter values
in your first name.) Sometimes a matching soul urge number can
also reveal a lot about a potential soul mate.

No matter what aspect of the self they are portraying, the numbers
in themselves have both negative and positive traits. Often if you
pay for a reading,  the numerologist will spend a lot of time telling you the
flattering aspects of each of these numbers (1 is a fantastic
leader! - 2 means a good marriage! - 3 means fame! Etc.)

However each number is symbolic of just as many negative traits as positive
ones. These negative traits can be described as being the shadow
side of the Life Path Number Personality.

If you really want to get to know someone, then also consider the
following when examining their numbers, as even the greatest of
human beings is not perfect.  The following is a description of
some of the negative personality traits that can be associated with
each number in terms of Life Path, Destiny Number, Soul Urge (the
vowels) and the Personality Number (the consonants.)

Please don't be offended by the following, since we are talking about
tendencies here, not absolutes!

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 1 Life Path - The person is too self-directed and busy to
maintain a relationship.

Number 1 Destiny  - The person simply is fated not to have a family
or be part of a relationship.

Number 1 Soul Urge - The person subconsciously just does not want a
relationship as it takes focus away from him or herself and will
sabotage it every time.

Number 1 Personality  - The person lacks the ability to recognize
the needs of anyone else but "number 1"

Shadow Sides of  ...

Number 2 Life Path - The person presents him or herself as a lively
or vibrant individual but the reality is that the purpose of the
relationship is for breeding.

Number 2 Destiny- The person is fated to be a parent and much of
his or her life will only be devoted to that.

Number 2 Soul Urge - The person does not feel complete without a
second person in his or her life and suffers from obsession and
codependency.

Number 2 Personality - This type might be jealous and one track
minded - unable to focus on anything but a partner.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 3 Life Path - The person is married to a showbiz career and
not available emotionally.

Number 3 Destiny - The person is destined to never marry.

Number 3 Soul Urge - The person is bored quickly by monogamy and
will sabotage relationships by being unfaithful.

Number 3 Personality - The person expects a partner to play second
fiddle to all of his or her creative projects and ambitions. In
other words, the 3 Personality number is looking for a love slave,
not a mate.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 4 Life Path - The person is sometimes not destined to be
very wealthy, healthy or happy.

Number 4 Life Destiny - Being with this person will be like being
trapped on a miserable treadmill or in a maze full of problems with
no way out.

Number 4 Soul Urge - This person sabotages relationships in a
subconscious attempt to correct karma from another life.

Number 4 Personality - Usually a negative individual who "cools"
situations by refusing to think positively and by attaching anxiety
to them.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 5 Life Path - The person will be traveling a lot in his or
her life and unable to put down roots.

Number 5 Destiny - The person will either be physically or
emotionally unable to put down roots or connect to another human
being for the purposes of raising a family.

Number 5 Soul Urge - The person will always be in love with his or
her personal freedom and independence then they ever will with
another person.

Number 5 Personality - The person finds it difficult to focus,
concentrate or hold down a job.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 6 Life Path - The person is destined only to have babies or
take care of the family.

Number 6 Destiny - The person is unlikely to ever escape a
dominating parent or the influence of the family.

Number 6 Soul Urge - The person will be too fearful to leave his or
her family and start his or her own.

Number 6 Personality - The person is a Momma's Boy or Daddy's Girl
that gives all of his or her attention to a parent.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 7 Life Path - The person is likely to suffer from a mental,
physical or psychological disorder that prevents them from
connecting to other people in a healthy way.

Number 7 Destiny - The individual is destined to be "married" to a
project or great work rather than a person.

Number 7 Soul Urge - The sex and death urges in this person
overpower other aspects of the personality causing self-destructive
behavior and misery in relationships.

Number 7 Personality - The person does not have the social skills
or emotional maturity to interact with others and can be obsessive,
codependent or stubborn.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 8 Life Path - The person will love making money more then he
or she will ever love a person.

Number 8 Destiny - The person is destined to be a great leader and
not have much time for a personal relationship

Number 8 Soul Urge - The person may not be that interested in sex
and more interested in cerebral and philanthropic matters

Number 8 Personality - The person is just not that interested in
relationships or intimacy and may even see emotions as destructive
to survival.

Shadow Sides of ...

Number 9 Life Path -The person will be too flaky and self obsessed
to maintain a relationship with another.

Number 9 Destiny - Always enacting situations that will bring bad
karma to act itself out again, nothing but destructive
relationships are possible for this number.

Number 9 Soul Urge - The desperate need to connect or be
appreciated by others often leads to codependency, violence,
obsession and other problems in relationships.

Number 9 Personality - This personality is usually so busy
soul-seeking or teaching others that they come off as very
patronizing and sometimes as downright nuts. It can be very
difficult for them to sustain a relationship or a job.

In next week's newsletter we will take a look at how to woo the
different numbers when it comes to impressing them business-wise or
romantically.

In this newsletter, we are going to introduce you to
the four core Numerology readings. These include the
divination of the Life Path Number, The Expression
Number, The Soul Urge Number and the Destiny Number.

Whether you are punching your birthday and full name
into a computer program or asking a numerologist to do
your calculations in person, almost every numerology
report contains these four elements:

* The Life Path Number that is based on your BIRTHDATE

* The Expression Number (sometimes referred to as the
Personality Number, Potential Number and Destiny number)
that is based on ALL THE LETTERS OF YOUR FULL NAME
 GIVEN AT BIRTH.

* The Soul Urge Number (sometimes also called the Soul,
Soul Path or Heart's Desire number) that is based on
a reduction of the VOWELS in your full birth name.

* The Destiny Number (sometimes also described as the
Inner Dreams, Inner You or Karmic Number) that is based
on a reduction of the CONSONANTS in your full birth name.

First of all lets look at the divination of the LIFE PATH
NUMBER. The Life Path Number is calculated from assigning a
numeric value (which don't worry! we will provide for you
next week) to your birthday (which must be written out in
long form as in 05/25/1959 as opposed to 05/25/59.)

The Life Path Number is perhaps the most commonly requested
reading of all of the numerology readings as it is the
easiest and fastest to do. It describes your journey through
life and what you can best hope to accomplish.

However simply looking just at your Life path number does not
constitute what I would call a full reading. Even a reading
that consists of just the four core elements is not a complete
analysis as it only describes the most likely projected path
when you are born. It does not take into account special
challenges or potential moments in time when you can use your
free will in order to change what would otherwise be your fate.

The Life Path Number is the sum of your entire birthday
including the year. This number represents whom you were
when you came into this world and the extent of your
potential and limitations physically, psychologically,
spiritually and emotionally.

For instance a number Three may be born into this world
with enormous talents and charisma but according to
traditional numerology may not be able to sustain a
relationship one on one for long because they are so busy
following the calling of a successful career.

However, a number three who also has a Soul Urge Number
of two (which is about finding true love) could meet a
soul mate because they learn to transcend their personal
fears and flaws.  This is why it is important to look at
all four of the CORE calculations before you assess a
person's numerology chart.

The next core number you will be learning how to calculate
in this course is THE EXPRESSION NUMBER.  This number is
derived from all of the numbers in your full birth name.
Not your married or pen name. It must be the name you were
born with including all of your middle names.

The Expression Number is the number that describes all of
the talents and personal potential that you will have at
your disposal during this lifetime. This is the number that
describes the ideal version of you that can develop if you
make the right choices in life.

Some people are often quite daunted when they first
calculate their Expression number as usually the
interpretation describes ideals that may seem impossible
to attain. Either that or they feel disappointed in
themselves because the interpretation somehow "rings
a bell" and they realize that they have achieved their
potential so far in this lifetime.

One of the values of performing the Expression Number
calculation is that it can be a wake up call that shows
you just how far you have strayed from your heart's desires.
In essence, it can help you remember what it was you always
wanted to be when you were a little girl or boy. For instance,
a stockbroker, with a Life Path number of materialistic eight
might have an Expression number of nine, which means despite
accumulated wealth his or  her real desire might be to adopt
children or be a philanthropist.

Without the fulfillment of the ideals of their Expression
number in their lives people often feel empty or depressed
no matter how successful they are.

Although you may find it difficult to live up to the
expectations of your Expression number, the reading is
almost always a call to action that asks you to live
in the here and now and fulfill your original ambitions.

The SOUL URGE NUMBER is calculated from the VOWELS in your
full birth name. The unique interpretation that results
from this number can almost be described as the ethical
measure of who you really are on this earth. It defines
what or whom you value most and describes "what makes you
bloom and what makes you wilt."

The Soul Urge Number is a very spiritual reading and the
value of it's calculation is that the resulting interpretation
often points you in the direction of where you can find real
fulfillment in life. By this I mean the "food for your soul"
that can help you thrive, rather than just survive from day
to day.

The Soul Urge number is often revelatory because it also
describes your inner desires as opposed to the limitations
of your birth  as imposed by the Life Path Number or your
higher calling as described by the Expression Number.

For instance, a person with a spiritually oriented number
9 Life Path Number could feel rather lonely if they have
devoted their life to chastity and the church if their
Soul Urge Number is actually a number two which is about
finding a soul mate.

As you can see, as we go on describing the function of
the four core numbers that the readings can be as
contradictory and complex as our personalities.

The fourth core number, the KARMIC NUMBER is arrived at
through the reduction of the consonants in your name.
This is the number that describes your secret fears,
hopes and fantasies. It also represents the mysteries
of the unknown. Some numerologists ascribe this number
as possessing the traits of a person that you were in
another life. At any rate, it describes the individual
that you are on a subconscious level.

The Karmic number also possesses the odd quality of
describing how others might see you as a first impression.
It is considered to be a description of your astral imprint
and what effect it has on other people and situations.

For instance, a nurturing Life Path number six might
strike others as a busybody or interfering character
if his or her Karmic number is number one  which is a
number about vainglorious achievement. The Life Path
number six might be truly oblivious to other's perception
that he or she is taking  others to seem "holier than thou"
thanks to the distortion provided by the Karmic Number Three.

If anything, the Karmic Number can explain why sometimes you
feel like you are "damned if you do and damned if you don't"
and why sometimes you may  have strange dreams or feel
compelled by strange or irrational urges that even to yourself
seem "out of character."

In the next newsletter we are going to get into the
nitty gritty of the calculations, starting out with
instructions about how to calculate that cornerstone
of all numerology formulas - The Life Path Number!

Until next time ...
