Natural Match Cities and States

I didn't see this subject anywhere on the forum, and I apologize if it has been asked before...

What is the best way to do Numerology for your city and state?  

What I mean is...is it better to add the city + the state for the number?  And is a natural match number necessarily the best numbered state to live in?  For example, if your a life path 6, is it good to live in a city/state that adds to 6?
