Venus in the 12 House

Post by Queen Nzingha » Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:26 am

Venus in the 12 house really likes socializing behind the seens, and depending on what sign Venus is in tells me what kind of relationships she will have. The 12 house represents hidden enemies, the undoing of self, some see the 12 house as the garbage bin of all the houses. But I disagree in my study I  see it as the house of the sub- conscious mind where all the hidden treasures are if one knows how to unlock them. It is the spiritual house of dreams, fantasy and suppression of fears.  It is also the house of seclusion and peace.  Venus does have rulership there because she is exalted in Pisces which is the  original owner of the 12 house.

It also suggests secret love affairs, deception, 'rose tinted glasses' Venus in pisces is exalted and very sacrificial, but in other signs may become more sacrificial placed in the 12th house.

It also suggests someone who cannot openly display affection, romance and gets more pleasure out of being secretive and working behind the scenes.....

I have seen Venus giving mixed effects in the 12th house.
It gives some abnormalities or unfulfillment in sexual life, and I have seen many cases of infertility where one or the other partner (or both) have Venus in 6th / 8th / 12 house.
The cause of infertility in such instances was either a low sperm count or poor ovulation!

I'm sorry are we asking about infertility? NO..... and the point being?

Fertility is looked at by 8th house of conception and 5th house of children and this is a rather specialist field. Don't you have to wait for someone to actually ask first?? or am I missing something here :smt003

Just trying to understand the concept here......

R u saying that in any natives chart should for example venus [planet] sits in Piscies [12th house rashi], it gives such affects as claimed here..p3s confer.

Pls correct me should i be wrong.....Basically, the properties of a planet with the combination of the properties of the rashi the planet sits in gives the combined astrological on the native. Is that correct...pls comment

No. I am asking about sharing planets. In natal charts I have seen this. We have the 12 houses and in the 12th house I have seen Taurus with like Jupiter, Venus, Neptune. Some I have seen even have like 4 planets in that house. Even if it is Pisces, I have seen more than 1 planet there. What do you think of that influnces?

Sorry haven't a clue what 'rashi' is am assuming this is something Vedic.

Venus in signs describes how somone's venus energies work, the house positions shows where and the aspects show whether there are challenges or easy flow of energy.

Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.

So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....

Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

Seems we are discussing two matters here, firstly venus in signs and venus in 12th house. Venus is the planet of love and affection and amour also how we earn and spend our money. In the sign shows how and house shows where. The 12th house is also a very psychic house and someone with a few planets here will behave like a pisces cos pisces naturally rules this house, plus say if it has Sagg/or fire ruling that house will modify things again. it has to synthesise all these energies into a coherent description.

These people need peace and quiet, time alone, work behind the scenes or in isolation (even a ship in the middle of pacfic ocean is an isolated place) Secret enemies are here and is the link to universal mind, subconscious mind.

Houses: angular houses 1/7 4/10 the energies of planets placed here are obvious cos it's your 'shop window' visible for everyone to see. Nex the succeedent houses 2/8 & 5/11 the energies in these houses are not in shop window the are in the shop, but stood behind the counter, ready to come out when needed. Lastly, caden houses 6/12 & 3/9 these houses/planets are not in shop window or stood behind the counter, they are in the back storeroom and only come out when 'triggered' or an emergency and much harder to recognise and access...

A raashi in Vedic astrology means a zodiacal sign in Western astrology.

venus in 12th

Post by harrypotter1717 » Sun Aug 09, 2009 9:22 am

Venus in the Twelfth House

Will be wealthy and will be a traveller. Will enjoy all the pleasures of life. Will be bereft of relatives. This powerful position of Venus favours wealth & enjoyments of a high order.

other reading is.....
If Venus is lord of this place or is present, it shows that the native prefers to keep their
affections private. In some cases it signifys that the native will be prone to secret liasons and affairs
that the public would not approve of. Often there is a relationship that can be destructive and bring the
native down if the sordid details come to light. This makes the native vulnerable to blackmail, another
trait of Venus in this position. According to Paulus: " ...it will make those who are tormented by feminine
excuses - namely those who are amorous. And they have intercourse with slaves, old women and
courtesans, and for this reason they go through their lives without children". [79] I wonder if Thomas
Jefferson had this? On the plus side, this seems to minimize the chance of secret enemies trying to undo
the native, as there tends not to be real hatred. If blackmail happens, it would be opportunistic. If Scorpio
also rises after Venus in the 12th the native may prefer to be alone and enjoys peace and serenity.
Everything is possible!!

Venus trapped in the house of 'self undoing' functions behinds the scenes, has secret love affairs and was not shown much affection from childhood

Your description of venus in 12th is extremely unorthodox and unsual, perhaps you would care to elaborate on this. Possibly if venus is in Saggitarius and trining say jupiter in 9th may someone travel. As far as wealth and enjoyments are concerned I would have thought, venus in 5th house of love affairs, pleasure, recreational matters. Maybe placed in 2nd house of how you earn your money may give wealth BUT only if exceptionally well aspects and venus is the ruler of your second house or eighth house and these to house cusp rulers are very very well aspected and reinforced by other planets...

Yes venus is exalted in Pisces but not well placed in 12th house. Using the term 'Lord' is a Traditional astrologers terminology not a modern one like myself
