What to really long, straight tails on y, j & gs mean

Post by nafe12 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 10:38 pm

Hi there,

Just wondering about some writing (printing)

key feature is that the tails of y, g or j (any letter haning down) have a really long, straight (right angle) vertical line
like the word going, the line from the last g goes all the way into the first.
So it looks like lots of words are underlined - e.g.
sorry

is like
sorry

____

Also, the capital H is bizarre. The left vertical leg goes just past half way, the tail in  the middle, and the right leg is REALLY long
Kind of look slike this, if hte left leg was only slightly longer.

This is all written with a slight left slant.

Thanks guys

though the tails of the q (other direction obviously) kick up diagonally (45 degree angle)
