What goes around comes around...don't lower yourself to their level.

And please don't be offended, but that's the sort of attitude that causes so much trouble in the world  :smt009

Being Tracked

Post by cdo » Sat Dec 01, 2007 3:08 am

Its been my experience that virtually all browsers use tracking techniques in one form or another . If this a concern for you i would suggest downloading and installing a good free-ware anti-spyware program . Avast has one through grisoft that works fine for me .

Thank you from me also.  As soon as I read your post, I immediately followed the links and opted out.
It's creepy to think that someone at Yahoo was watching/monitering my every move online.

Blessings and Peace,

thanks for info re tracking, beacons.
most sites have tracking devices.
if we want to use their site, its part of the terms of use.
some goverments have security services tracking users.
mostly for security and intelligence reasons.
just like newspapers readers letter being vetted.why writers have to provide their name and address.

one can delete ones browsing history
one can use the pop up blocker
one can use banned site list in security settings

there are key loggers and trojans and many other bugs

my best anti virus anti bug programmes are the free domestic personal use ,
1.avast.com
2. superantispyware.com

there are people spoiling the net, with illegal use
if one does nothing illegal, one should not worry too much.
i believe there are encryption programmes around, but havent used them.
