What is a true freind ?

When I was growing up, I noticed that true friends were hard to come by and today, it seems that has changed as we have many friends. What do you consider to be a true friend?

I have just met a true friend.Before this i have never had one,they all used me for what i had,like my horses etc......A true friend to me is someone who i feel a deep connection with,someone who supports me without judging me.Someone i can trust my life with who can make me laugh,cry and dance.

Am glad just found the question...of my choice.. (I have loads to babble on this matter..)

A true friend is someone who is our friend for absolutely no reason... Someone who stays with you where he could be somewhere else... And even when you say that you don't care about him/her he would say.."So what I you are my best friend anyway..."

Friendship is not about asking... Its not even about giving.. Its about just standing beside each other... no matter they need you or not...

A true friend is that person who just knows.  They will come and sit at your side and never have to say a word because "they just know" and all of a sudden you start to feel a little less invisible.

Its an incident which happened with me...
We were studying..(me and 2 of my friend... college exams from 27..). Then I said ..."I am going,, I am not in mood." My friend said "What happened...".. I said "I dunno.. I just want to get failed"... he stopped studying too... when I asked why.. he said " We study together.... spend almost 12 hours a day with each other... So if you want to be unsuccessfull... I am not gonna leave you in that.. can i?".. I realized... THIS IS FRIENDSHIP...

When we are in a bad period, there are ppl that go away from us, and there are some that stay. The ones who stay are true friends and that you can confirm as long as time passes. True friends are always there for you no matter what and in the good and bad times.

Until now, I have figured out true friends are just a few people, is like this with everyone?
