Asking for a BIG favor

Post by clover73 » Tue May 20, 2008 5:52 am

My cousin James got into a car accident. just when he was finish serving his Country.  He was seriously hurt and lost one leg.  His wife passed away.  He is still in the hospital now and we aren't sure when he will be released.  I was wondering... if people would be willing to send him some well wishes, jokes, ANYTHING to read to pass his time.

Thanks again.

Kimberly

Hi Clover
IF People would like to help, then they could PM you.
Then you can take there messages and forward them on to James or you can give them the email addy to the reception at the medical center.
I sent one off today and the hospital happly passed it on.
Cheers Pete

Hello everyone,

Sorry it has taken me so long to write back.  I've had a lot of things going on.  I've been trying to keep up with information and emails about James.  I would have him join on her but he doesn't have access to a computer right now.  So, I've set up and email addres for people to send things there.  I print them all out and mail them to him.  If anyone would like to write to him you can send it to jamesandmattdunn@yahoo.com  I send out personal thank you messages to EVERYONE just so they know that we care and also they know that we received their messages.  I'll try to print these messages out on the board too.  Last week was really crazy.  I got about 8 hours of sleep in 3 or 4 days because I was trying to send out messages and also respond to the ones we were getting.

I was told this morning that they are moving him to another location this weekend.  He will still have to go to the hospital everyday for his treatments.  But I think he might get better a little faster because this new place is more like an apartment.  So it will feel more like "home"  Thank you to everyone who has helped me out on this project. Hopefully I will be able to talk to him soon.  He doesn't have a telephone in his room.  He is in Washington D.C. and I'm out in California.  We are very far away from each other right now and probably won't be able to see each other for a long time.  He obviously isn't going anywhere and I can't travel that far right now.  I will definately keep everyone informed of any info that I hear.

Thanks again,
Kimberly

Hi Kim,
Glad to hear he is getting better.
I will write him right now.
I will put MB in the subject so he'll know it's through you.
He is very lucky to have you in his corner.
Lots of love to you, SuoerWoman.

Thank you for the compliment.  I'm blushing... I would do this for anyone who needs me to even if they weren't family.  I think that everyone should have support like this and know that people care about them.  I think that it helps the healing process A LOT!!!

Thanks again for all of your help.

Kimberly
