Colour Therapy

Post by LADYSILVERMOONDANCER » Sat Mar 31, 2007 8:08 pm

Colour therapy aims to balance and enhance our bodys energy centres/chakras by using the seven colours of the light spectrum,which can help to stimulate our bodys own healing process.Each of the seven colours resonates with one of the main seven chakras.

Each of the spectrum colors is simply light of varying wavelengths,thus each colour has its own particular energy.

The energy relating to each of these spectrum colours resonates with the energy of each of the seven main chakras of the body.

Imagine the chakras energy centres as the workings of a clock or engine,each needs to move smoothly and at a similar speed for the clock or engine to work properly.Good health and well being is achieved by a balance of all these energies.

Colour therapy can help to re-balance by applying the appropriate colour to the body therefore re-balancing our chakras.Violet has the shortest wavelength and red the longest wavelength.

here is a list of the colours and related chakras:

Violet=crown
indigo=brown
blue=throat
green=heart
yellow=solar plexus
orange=sacral
red=base

Violet relates to the crown chakra,and red the base chakra.Colour is absorbed by the eyes,skin and skull and the energy of colour can affect us on all levels,that is to say physical,spiritual,and emotional.Every cell in the body needs light energy.This is why colour energy has widespread affects on the whole body.

Colour therapy can be shown to help on a physical level,however there are deeper issues around the colours on the psychological and spiritual levels.

Our well being is not just purely a physical issue.That is to say that we are body,mind and spirit,and none of these areas function entirely alone,each has and affect upon the other.This is why colour therapy can be helpful since colour addresses all of our being.

All life experiences make an impression upon us.Some experiences will be positive and some negative.It is the negative experiences which can manifest themselves physically over time as dis-ease.Example: perhaps we have over the years been in negative situations where we have felt,for one reason or another unable  to speak our mind,or to express our needs and feelings.This can manifest as a problem in the throat chakra.The throat chakra relates in the spiritual aspect to self - expression.If our self expression has been blocked,the energy in this area will not be free flowing.

Working with the appropriate colours can help to dispel negative feelings,free-blocks and re-balance the body.That is why colour therapy should be apart of our daily lives,not just something we experience for an hour or two with a therapist.[/b]

Try looking at the colors you are attracted to on a daily basis, this reflects your aura even. Also color baths & color treated water are great & quite fun as well as inexpensive. Use colored party lights to read by or colored overlays. The ways are truly endless....

I always have fun w/ color.

White is a collection of all colors.

Color is such a large part of our existence - even when we don't think about it.  Colors affect us mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually.  They are a large topic in psychic/mediumship development.  And colors can mean different things to different people.

We are all unique and can be drawn to different colors to enhance our life.  See what makes you feel good and use it liberally.

colours & people

Post by NAAANEE » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:36 am

your topic is enlightening to us.
I have observed in my life,that if we are attracted to some person or thing,we may likely to wear the same colour of dress as the other person on that day is wearing.it is really a surprise for me!how come we are attracted to colours like that?

What is the meaning if I'm attracted to different hues of blue including indigo?

Blessed be,

Edward

Blues are about healing and inspiration.  You may be feeling particularly inspired lately to change and go forward into new horizons of interest.

Indigo is a darker shade that can denote the state of the body.  Perhaps you are doing a scan or making yourself concerned where there is really no need?  In other words, every ache or pain does not denote a disease.

We choose the colors we wear by our emotions.  Sometimes we need an uplift and will go for light and airy colors.  Sometimes we need grounding and we will go for earthy tones.  We choose by our own emotions.

So if we run into someone with the same color on, perhaps we are relating to them in the same vein we chose our own colors for the day.  Color can make a big difference in how you approach someone.  They will appear friendly (or not) according to their colors of the day.

Please be cautious of over stimulation in all things - especially emotions - with the color red.  It can be very energetic when we are lacking in energy.

But imagine we have a lot of physical energy going on and we add to it.  You could be so buzzed you are not functioning in the real world of matter.
