It varies based on the size of the book. I average 3-5 books a month so maybe a book a week.

It will depend on the topic, but I am not much of a reader unless I have alot of time on my hands, and a great topic. Like when we travel, I will read on the drive.

write now the book i reading is a  book on Magkic some of the concepts in the book are based on other concepts that i don't know. so i stop and try to look them up then go back to the book.  it is taking forever.  so i stop doing that to a certain degree and just pushing through. i figure on my review i will go over the stuff i didn't undertsnd the first time.  :smt002

Reading or Writing?

Post by Windwalker » Fri Mar 04, 2011 2:44 am

I can read a romance book in about 2 hours. A sci-fi in about a day.
Writing them...now that depends on how the story is flowing from my
head.

Depends on the book but I agree with above post the Da Vinci Code is something that i have tried to read several times and just can't get into it.

For me, it depends largely on the length of the book. I can usually finish a good-sized novel - like "The Da Vinci Code" - in a day, reading in between chores and the like. Lately, though, I've been forcing myself to slow down when I read, particularly if I'd just bought the book (most recent purchase being Steve Rollins' "Map of Bones"), so I don't have to buy another one so soon in order to keep myself entertained.

I think the fastest I'd read a book, with only a single break in between, was 6 hours, 45 minutes. But that was "Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows", almost two years ago. ^^;
