What is happening to the General Discussion forum?
To all members, but especially to the newer additions to our Mystic Board community.
The General Discussion forum has always been a launchpad or place for new members to begin to explore and interact with other members on MB.
It has also been where you post any item which does not seem to belong on any of the other more specific discussion forums, or could equally belong in several.
None of this is about to change, so please do not think that it will.
What is new is that I will be from now on selecting those postings made in other forums which I feel are most interesting and relevant and practical to as many of you as possible, then move them into here.
I am well aware that I will require some help from the OP (original poster) in choosing the best articles to move into this forum, as well as deciding how best to simplify them, and hopefully make the principles which they are teaching easier to understand for the average person, and easier to apply in their daily lives.
This will mainly happen through private messages in both directions.
So I repeat that you are to keep doing what you have always done so well, with regards to the GD forum.
It is just that I am taking on myself an extra workload (which I will need to carefully balance against my own needs), in an effort to refresh what I feel has grown stale over the years, since the original version of Mystic Board first went online.
Let's do this!

Re: What is happening to the General Discussion forum?
Hi Cedars,
Thank you for welcoming me back to MB.
And thank you to other members who have done the same.
Stay tuned to this channel for new developments.
Mystic Board needs each of us to work closer together, to attempt to heal it's wounds.
We need to rebuild trust with those whom we claim to serve and with each other, at all levels.

Re: What is happening to the General Discussion forum?
Hello Brian,
For your information, I am now getting notifications by email on the threads that I am following and I am also staying as 'logged in,' without having to input password etc, which was not the case for a long time with the new version of this software. Something must have changed and it is working as in the past.
Good signs?

Re: What is happening to the General Discussion forum?
Thank you loads for letting me know about this.
It looks as though our site software expert has scored a major success.
I wonder f this applies to all other notifications involving member's email addresses.
Only time and member reporting will tell.
Cheers,
Brian
