Again, Nicole, Canada differs slightly...May 24th is considered The Queen's birthday (going back to Victoria) and usually falls the 3rd Monday for a long weekend...lol.  We go from Christmas right through to Easter (anytime from mid March to mid April...something to do with astronomy time) without a time off of labour.  Easter lasts from Good Friday through Easter Monday.  (Many Churches are now having a full Easter week leading up to Sunday with many activities)  Feb. 14 is Valentines Day (no holiday from Work) March 17 St. Patrick's Day (no holiday from work) July 1st is Canada Day, Aug. 1st Monday - Bank holiday, Sept. 1st Monday - Labour Day (All holidays from work) Oct. 2nd Monday Thanksgiving (holiday from work) Nov 11 Remembrance Day (no holiday from work - 3 minute silence celebrated at home, work, play, etc. at 11 am for fallen soldiers in all wars) December 25 Christmas Day (holiday usually Boxing Day - 26th) Jan. 1st for New Year (holiday from work).

I'm sure my Grandmother and Grandfather told me this as a child... It's nice to know how you celebrate... I have to visit some time. I just know I will love it there... I would like to find my family tree.. I started years ago and stopped.. to many ppl with my maiden name, I'm sure there not related.. I asked. but then again who knows..lol I don't want to know on my mothers side..lol just my Fathers side... My mothers is very Irish and Dutch and English.. Mostly Irish.. My Fathers side is very very, French..  :smt003

There's a branch of my Grandmother's family (her sister married my gran's husband's brother) living in the U.S.  Unfortunately we have lost track of them all.

My sentiments exactly.

According to offical records, South Indians have 202 days Holidays, & 163 Work Days.
