Significators

Post by wraymond » Thu Feb 08, 2007 10:28 pm

I would like to know the feelings about using a significator in a reading. I have strong feelings that when you remove a card and designate for a specific purpose, you end up not providing a true reading without using all the cards.

Hi Wraymond

I feel the same way but as there have been some spreads which actually need a significator hence there has to be a valid reson of having one in your reading. A significaor as I have read is a court card that the querent chooses to represent himself/herself to the closest possible.

I know what you mean and I don't read with a significator, or if I do its from the minors and I do the reading from only the Majors. I think its a clearer read if you shuffle and dont pick the card but the card that is dealt, placed, in the significator's position is the one that I use.
