are you like your favorite animal?

Post by BLACKCAT » Sat Apr 21, 2007 1:53 pm

OK, i was thinking, and you know that can't be good. anyway i love cats. a few of you may already be suspecting this. i always have, ever since i can remember. there was no defining moment for me, when i realized, "hey I love cats" it's like it was with me when i was born.
so i started thinking if i had some personality traits of a cat. and if you feel like you have any traits of your favorite animal.

i think it would be fun if people could post what their favorite animal is, just one. were not at the zoo today. and then list a few of the qualities you feel are similar to that animal. it would be interesting.

the good and the bad.

like cats can be a little stubborn, if you will, i guess i can be too, maybe.
cats are loners, and never act as if they are in need
cats like to pounce on things, a little ruthlessly sometimes, i do this with my words when i feel strongly about something
cats don't take commands very well.
they may come when there called, but after they make you wait for them.by stretching or something.
cats are unpredictable, yet very predictable at the same time. making the people around then confused. i tend to hear people tell me that a lot.
cat's are subtle in a very loud way.
cats never do what you want them too.

so i guess i can see some of the traits i share with my cat. how about you do you see your self in your favorite animal?

Would be interesting to see how many have their favourite animal as one of their animal totems too....

That's why I love cats....you have to earn their respect....when you have...they give lots of love...but on their rules...never expect or demand....if you do, you are doomed to fail :)....and yea....it's Siamese here too :)

ohhh...the question.....no....I am a bit more undisguised :)

I love German shepards. They are my favorite dog. If I am like a dog?
I have never thought about this before... my animal totem... Yes..
but my pets ...No

OK.....
so now I am thinking

Dogs are loyal.... yes
Dogs are intuitive..... yes
Dogs make good friends.... yes
Dogs feel protective... yes
Dogs are obedient....NO
Dogs can find their way home... 50/50
Dogs want attention...yes
Dogs respond to gifts of food... Yes, I'll eat nearly everything too
Dogs like to have their hair brushed... OH YES!!!!!
Dogs have a keen sense of smell... Yes
... Aromatherapy is high on my list of passions
Dogs don't like their feet being touched... me either
Dogs can be mean if a loved one is threatened... Yup
Dogs back off from people they intuitively don't like...Yes
Dogs drop everything and come as soon as they are called... Yes...

"As soon as I heard... I came"   Now that's a friend!!!!!

Cats = woman    Dog = males ...we can be read as an open book...so with a dog you get the best of us without all the talking and can shape him into your likning :) :)

GrandPa... You are so wise!!!!  :smt002
......                         I am laughing out loud now

I hadn't thought about this...  :smt017 maybe because I prefer
female dogs..

Interesting.... Very! I rather thought of them as *children

You have accurately figured me out....
I do have more luck with my dogs... than men.
Men are not so easily trainable....

Another thought occurred to me just now...
We can love more than one dog ... at a time...  :smt003

I will put a pic of a griffin (also spelled 'gryphon') up for you here Vishwas, then you can figure it out for yourself....LOL

Will give you a clue though....they were guardians of gold and precious stones which was still unmined in remote areas of Asia...
and treasure hunters were extremely afraid to encounter them when going to prospect or look for treasure.

They are normally depicted as the front part of an eagle and the hind part of a lion.  Sometimes the tail is depicted as a serpent's tail.

That definately sums me up too, but would add I can curl up and go to sleep anywhere and love to laze in the Sun.  And I love cats all kinds.  My favourite is a black panther I think becuase my first cat as a liitle girl was black and panther like - I used to imagine her as a big cat.

My favorite animal is the leopard.

Yes, I do think some of my characteristics are reflected in them. Perhaps a leopard CUB.

Private
Intelligent
Very playful; childlike
Very reflective
Very Athletic
Slow to anger, yet slow to "cool off"
Very bold when deliberately angered

These traits are similar to that of a Pit Bull as well which is my favorite breed of dog except they aren't much private and very childlike.
