In the 4th chapter of Revelation, the throne of God is surrounded by the four fixed signs of the Zodiac - the lion (Leo), the ox (Taurus), the man (Aquarius), and the eagle* (Scorpio). At the time of the August 11, 1999 solar eclipse - the celestial throne of God was surrounded by a Grand Cross comprised of the four fixed signs of the Zodiac (see the chart at the bottom of this page).

The August 11th, 1999 solar eclipse was thought by many astrologers to be the celestial configuration upon which 16th century French mystic/astrologer Nostradamus based his famous quatrain: "In the year 1999, seventh month, From the sky will come a great King of Terror: To bring back to life the great King of the Mongols, Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."
For several months many astrologers were concerned that the Plutonium powered NASA space probe Cassini which was nearing the earth (within 725 miles according to NASA) in August 1999 - for purposes of being slingshot back into space - might have been an apocalyptic fulfillment of the Nostradamus prophecy.
Kosovo?According to official information at NASA, the time of the closest approach to Earth was to be 3:28 AM GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) August 18, 1999 (or 8:28 PM PDT August 17, 1999).
At the same time, astrologers were keeping an eye on the Kosovo conflict (which lies within the general region of the solar eclipse) - however no modern astrologer previously had any real clue as to why Nostramdamus might have foreseen China becoming a major player in the August 11, 1999 solar eclipse (since China is not within the path of the eclipse). It's important to note that the effects of an eclipse can be felt months prior to and after the actual eclipse.
However - the moment the news broke regarding NATO missiles hitting the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belgrade on May 7th - a "lightbulb" immediately switched on regarding the Nostradamus prophecy. Although this particular translation of the quatrain is in some doubt - did those NATO missiles "bring back to life the great King of the Mongols?" Personally, I'd keep my eye on an awakening China during the next few years...
