Music in my head
I was complaining the other day about a piece of music that was going round and round in my head, it just a pop tune, nothing special.
Then I realised there is a tune there every day, sometimes it changes 1/2 way through the day and I can't remember what 1st tune was but the more I think about it and notice the more I'm intrigued.
I was going to have this thread about what tune is currently stuck in your mind but of course now I've written this there is nothing there.
Still waiting.
The best one was when a friend and I were in serious danger of dying of hypothermia. We'd been fishing in my boat, got swamped by a wave, nearly washed overboard and we drifting around with no power for 5 hours wet through and slowly dying.
We charted our deterioration by trying to sing 'We are riding along on the crest of a wave' from the Boy Scouts Gang Shows of the 50s.
When we started we could sing the first verse, by the time the lifeboat rescued us it had got down to 'We're sliding along..........'
Having just relived it that tune is now going round and round.
So what's the tune in your head - right now?

Songs on my mind
I have observed some particular songs that played on my mind and it's quite an accurate coincidence.
There's this Christmas song "Winter Wonderland". I could be doing something, riding on my motorbike, or just plain watching a TV when suddenly I would whistle the "Winter Wonderland" tune. I would shrug it off and smile to my self and would say, as I usually do when the tune comes up: Oh boy, there's money coming in. And sure thing. A few days after, there would be someone calling or asking me to do some projects or my office would award me a performance bonus.
Another song is the "Sailing". A song written by Gavin Sutherland in 1972. When this song suddenly comes up on my mind that made me whistle the tune, it means there's a major career change. I kind of dismissed it the last time which was actually a month a half ago. During that time I was happy working. Then a week later, there came a very generous offer and a relaxing working environment. So now, I'm working happily and close to my family.
How about you, what song do you have in mind?
