How do you celebrate your Birthday ?

As the title says ,
How do you celebrate your birthday ?
Is there anything special you do(or could do)
to help you with your spiritual growth?:)
My birthday is on November 9th
and i would like to get some ideas
on what to do this year

I do invite my friends and make sure I get a big tasty cake cause I get to eat what is left  :smt020

There is a people who mourn the birth of a child and celebrate the death of the body.  The idea is that they mourn the trials and tribulations that must be faced in life by the child and then celebrate the freedom of the soul into spirit existence afterlife.

So as we celebrate our birthdays, perhaps it is a time to celebrate the spirit within.  Yes, we can have fun, food and frivolity with our friends, family, lovers, etc. When all is said and done, celebrate the spirit with whatever brings joy to the soul.

mind is the world. you think it's birthday. so it is. every party can be a birthday party, no matter whose. celebration is all that matters.

My belated wishes to Tat on her/his  Birthday.

Tomorrow is my Birthday , So I have plans to go to all the three  temples in Dubai. ,  with family and friends. My relatives  and my best friend are arriving here tonight. So this birthday is special for me . I am going to enjoy with them by having lunch and dinner out and do shopping with them. This is the first time Iam celebrating my birthday like this. usually in India  i do some charities that day or help some one. this time I  already sent money for this purpose, but I cant go in person. I thank God for giving me all nice time like this always. Iam thanking thru this,  all my well wishers  too , who are greeting me on  this occasion.

I would like to celebrate giving donation to orphanage and other institutions,giving food to needy people.

yes. and i got one such special gift on my birthday. not that I celebrated. but i was very happy.
