In a music world apparently caught by thin surface appearances, Carrier Wave EP shines out vibrations of love and self-acceptance. While rappers and radio DJs spend time promoting themselves and their lifestyles, synth-duo 11 11 seeks to promote the listener to an awakened state of being.

The album represents a collaboration between musical artists DJ Adlai and The Ghola, a soothing ride through healing soundscapes with danceable down-tempo beats. Mantra-like solos glide over chilled out harmonic progressions as layers of sound morph and drift into new forms.

Carrier Wave EP was made on laptops while the synth duo embarked on pilgrimages to Easter Island and Stonehenge. Their trips were specifically undertaken to harness the energy of the sacred sites, and to translate their emotional undercurrents into new music.

In a recent interview, 11 11's DJ Adlai stated, "We know that music is about communication. It's a language. And we are using that language to transmit our flow, our love for life. The 528 hz frequency really shocked us with power when we began to tune to it. We're not here to convince people about the healing tones, but to merge them with a new kind of music to be enjoyed . . . for us it's a fun technical challenge . . . and it helps us create a unique experience that people immediately resonate with."

Not only does it sound like ancient transmissions of bliss long forgotten, it actually helps tune the mind into an expanded awareness with the mystical frequencies of the ancient solfeggio scale.
