Here are some tips for making your nails stronger. They are in no particular order of importance, and some of them may not even apply to you.
http://www.prevention.com/beauty/soluti ... p-breaking
Basically we abuse our nails as part of modern lifestyles, as we often do with the rest of our bodies.
Cracking and splitting nails are frequently the more visible symptoms of long term vitamin and mineral deficiencies caused by such factors as a poor diet or an underlying (often not diagnosed) medical condition.
Certain medications (including those taken internally) prescribed by your doctor are known to interfere with the process which normally produces strong and healthy nails.
You need to gradually eliminate each possible reason why your nails keep breaking, until hopefully you will arrive at the real reason behind this. Often it is due to a combination of two or more factors, instead of only one.
Wishing you stronger and healthier nails in 2017,
Brian :smt002 :smt002 :)

Talia,
I am always pleased to be of assistance.
Stating the obvious, not only women have problems with their nails cracking and splitting.
And cracking and splitting nails can be a symptom of previously unrecognised conditions such as those which I have described above, equally in both men and women.
Happy New Year,
Brian

I love nail art but I can't seem to find a nice nail salon that does it.

Very nice. I have not tried nail art though, but gel manicure is my thing these days!
Re: This is what my nails look like now...
With the gels do you find that they weaken your nails over time? I hate the way they scrape off the old stuff, ugh.
