Merry Christmas And Happy New Year

Post by eye_of_tiger » Fri Dec 20, 2019 1:23 am

TO ALL MYSTIC BOARD MEMBERS

I do not know if anyone will ever see this posting, but if you are reading this I wish you and your family season's greetings, and an even happier, healthier and more successful new year, in 2020.

The Australian summer is definitely upon us, with huge areas of the country already consumed by mega bush fires, and maximum temperature records, many of which have stood for 80 years or more (particularly for this early in the season) being broken on an almost daily basis.

We are talking here about several days in a row (in our capital cities which are mainly scattered around the coastline) of temperatures in the high 40 degrees Celsius, with some inland communities experiencing over 50 degrees, many of them also running out of (or having already run out of) safe drinking water.

Made even worse by night time minimum temperatures not falling below 30 degrees, making sleep virtually impossible.

Natural disasters as well as extreme weather events such as those we are currently experiencing, often bring out both the best and worst in people.

It is almost impossible to reliably predict how we would each respond if placed in a similar situation to these everyday heroes, but I prefer to focus on the positives, as it gives me hope for the future of humanity, as well as of course a future for our one and only planet home.

Keep your loved ones and yourself safe this season, in whatever situation you find yourselves.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from my family to yours,

Brian :smt114 :smt113 :smt111 :smt110 :smt109 :smt049

Thank you for your Seasonal greetings Brian.
I do feel for Australia, especially having visited Sydney a few years ago.
May God protect the land and the people who live in it.

On a different note, I still visit MB from time to time and I cannot bring myself to say goodbye to the site and the people with the hope that - one day - it will come out of the ashes. But, alas, I have lost all hope...

For those who celebrate Christmas, a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful, happy New Year!

I cannot bring myself to say goodbye to the site and the people
Neither can I.

I take the attitude that if I can only help a small number of members each year, then I have made a positive difference in somebody else's life, which cannot be a bad thing.

I was given a small cushion as a gift, on which the following well known saying is embroidered.

"Time spent teaching is never lost"

I believe that I will always be a teacher, of some type.

Once a teacher, always a teacher?

But a teacher who has as much of value to learn from others, as they do from him.

The mere fact that as a result of your posting I know that you still care about our community and it's members, gives me at the very least a glimmer of hope that something better will eventually come out of all of this.

And something entirely different from anything which MB has been, up until now.

It is wonderful to be hearing from you again.

Thank you for the early Christmas present.

And thank you on behalf of all Australians, many of whom have lost their homes, their main source of income, their animals, and a few their lives in these terrible bush fires, which never seem to be permanently extinguished.

Seasons Greetings,

Brian :smt031

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

This was the last TEEN Year of this century. The next one would be in 2113.

Even if the flesh goes, the SPIRIT lives on ETERNALLY...! :smt007

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, as well.

Whether I will be on this planet (a much hotter and drier version) in another body (this one is basically stuffed) in 2113, only the Universe, God or the Great Spirit knows.

And if they do know if I will be back on Earth by then, ready for the next challenging series of TEENS, they are it appears keeping it a secret (from me, at least for now).

Salutations!

<LOL>

I am hoping that in 2113 I shall probably get to experience goldilocks planets other than this earth :smt002

I hope The Almighty God is listening...!

Evidently, Almighty God does not decide this.

We are the mugs who continue signing up for Earth school, over and over again, in the hope that we will finally learn the "school of hard knocks" lessons which we have come here to learn.

After which, we can then apply for admission to other goldilocks planets.

Oh, but Brian -- some insist that we all co-exist simultaneously, in parallel universes...?

Kind of makes sense! I mean why else would a career scientist, work all day in a Science lab, and then take evening courses without any pressing career-needs etc, in English language in order to improve his (or her) writing-skills? :smt002

Not sure if that was destiny or desire -- so anyways, nothing and no effort goes to waste really, while few other gold-diggers might disagree!
