Hello My name is Maria,  I am 29 years old I didn't know about this site until I down loaded fre pagan diary, how ever I am ver interested in learnin gtabout astrology and palmistry.  I do do tarot cards, and I love the readings I get from them.

I am excited about belonging to this forum.  I look forward to talking about things and sharing ideas with eachother.

I have a budding interest in Astrology

(well budding from early childhood but only starting to flower now)

and am trying to work out my atmakaraka,

as i know barely anything about Vedic astrology i am very confused about rahu and ketu

and why the other planets are not included when working this out.

AS far as i can tell my atmakaraka is mercury in the 11th house.

but i would GREATLY APPRECIATE A HAND WITH AL THIS!

I'm new to this site and to the Astro Compatability software.  I'm not new to astrology.  I've been studying it for many years and a practicing professional for about 8.  I have an extensive library of astrology books and several different astrology programs.

I do have some questions about the software.  How is the time to be entered?  Is it based on UT or the birth location.  I've tried both and neither give me correct information as to the position of the Sun, Moon and in some cases, other planets.  I notice that the north node and south node are different.  Looks like the north is mean north and south is true south.  Is that how the software works?

I've tried entering data for several different women I've known and felt something for (including both of my wives and lovers) and so far have only gotten average scores.  I assume it is possible to get scores other than average or does the software have to be registered first?

I hope that once I understand how the software works, it will become a useful tool in my toolkit.

I will be posting more as I become more familiar with the site.
