Nine Star and Flying Star Methods

Hey there!  Can someone shed some light on these methods.  I like to know the difference and use of Nine Star and Flying Star Methods.  

Different books tells me different things.  Very new to Feng Shui.  But should be able to pick it up pretty fast.  

1.  Nine Star pertain to use on home surveys and changing luck?
2. Flying Star is more contemporary and used on buildings and building life cycles (Time Frame)?

flying star is more complete and complex for it takes into consideration not just space but also time
