At least on the surface it appears that vasthu (Vastu shastra) is the Indian equivalent of the Chinese system of Fengshui.

Although Vastu shastra seems much more physical and practical and involved with architectural design and blueprints, when compared to Fengshui's mystical and sometimes cryptic energy flow diagrams.
Feng shui is a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment.
Vastu shastra means science of architecture and construction. Found in Indian subcontinent, these survive as manuals on design, layout, measurements, ground preparation, space arrangement, spatial geometry and other aspects of architecture.
Both are according to my personal research as I am not an expert methods for designing and building living and working spaces in a way which maximizes and promotes the free flow of natural energies and brings them and their occupants more into harmony with those natural energies.

Look up both terms on Wikipedia to begin your personal comparison of the two systems.
