hi ,my name is Oscar, nice to meet all of you, I am a Chinese , I live in Macau whcih is near Hong Kong and it is so famous lately(actually, just because the casino). OK , please let me say something :

In fact, Feng Shui is so important to the Chinese , there are a lot of Feng Shui 's rules in Chinese. Some of them are interesting , some of them may be right and some of them are proofed by scientists , but also some of them are ...

In particular, the people of Mainland China  believe that  Feng Shui is more important than LIFE and they fall for it... In contrast with Mainland China, the people of H.K. and Macau are more rational. Maybe we can use the money rightly, we don't  spend so many money on it, but more or less , we choose  a little Feng Shui arrangement in our houses, for example,  I put a cup of water or some plants or some stones  in my living room or windowsill. Also , my brother and sister like placing crystal in their rooms !

To speak friendly, we don't know it works or not, but at least, we set our hearts at rest!

Feng Shui and Health

Post by houseofgar » Sat Dec 09, 2006 7:01 pm

As a Nurse and Occultist I discovered Feng Shui because of its connection to health and healing, I have always been interested in concepts and practices of healing which are considered spiritual or metaphysical. I will clearly state that I am in no way an authority or adept on Feng shui and respect the Masters and practitioners who have devoted their lifetime to the study and practice of it (my favorite: Nancy SantoPietro: Feng Shui and Health -the anatomy of a home. Black Hat Sect School of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism).

From my study and undertanding of Feng Shui the essential foundation is the flow of life force energy or C'hi energy and how our environment , including the land around our home, the building itself and the interior arrangements effect our life force energy, whether healthy or unhealthy. As I studied further on Feng Shui I soon realized it is a quite complex and involved discipline and I understood why it takes a lifetime of study and practice to truly become a "Feng Shui Master"

To me it makes perfect sense not only from a practical perspective but also from a spiritual perspective. There is the physical or practical aspect , the "cures" as well as the spiritual aspects, comprehension of energy as a metaphysical concept". Many books I have read written by true Masters who have studied with traditional Feng Shui Masters in China warn against practicing Feng shui without a clear understanding of what you are doing and recommend consulting a legitimate practitioner (with credentials) when attempting any major work in your home.

I have seen a major interest in Feng Shui in Western culture over the past 10 years or so, possibly as many Westerners are realizing how spiritually advanced Eastern Asian cultures are and finding the spiritual nourishment we seek from older cultures such as China. In comparison American culture is truly very young and probably not as enlightened !

Feng Shui and the front door

Post by costa49 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 3:16 pm

When we bought our house I set all my rooms up, picked colors etc. with my front door facing north. Four years later we started using a differnt door, south facing. How is that going to effect everthing that has been done?

Yes, it's me, 6 inches of concrete. It's not that impressive really you just hit it very hard, now roof tiles or wood they can be a problem.
The one I've always fancied is a baseball bat with my shin, but finding a good baseball bat in England is not easy, plus they are quite expensive.
Enough, I'm rambling again - taken too many head punches.
